One thing to remember is that while imitation learning is a great way to improve language speaking techniques, imitating what others said also means you can easily pick up the accents of the objects you imitated. So depending on what accents you want to pick up, you may want to stick to certain accents and avoid others.
Wow. I’m pleasantly surprised at how beautiful your English pronunciation is! However you’re learning keep it up. You sound like a native English speaker. 👍
He also sounds like a native speaker when he speak mandarin. He’s a language talent. Most ppl have some sort of interference of one language on the other other. He sounds like 2 native speakers in one body! Amazing.
00:17 to simplify --> simply put 动词不定式放在句首,充当的是句子的目的状语,表达主句谓语动词描述的那个行为的目的。例如,To catch the early train, they got up one hour earlier than usual. 这句句首不定式短语说的就是早起床的目的。 Other than this, great technique.
This really help, I mean I’ve been doing this for years without knowing this is actually something beneficiary for someone who wants to learn english language
It is important to have a solid understanding of basic grammar when communicating. For instance, it is correct to say "Do you know where Starbucks is?" instead of "Do you know where is Starbucks?" If you are uncertain about your grasp of basic grammar, it is recommended to seek guidance from a teacher or other qualified source.
that's totally one of the best practices! I am still doing it everyday! Once achieve certain level you can basically watching English movies without seeing the subtitles!
You did a great job! I am proud of you! I am learning Mandarin! I want to become an English teacher in Taiwan. But this progress is amazing and it can take years to learn! Keep up the good work! You’ve gained my subscribe!
"Subscribe" is a verb, "subscription" is the noun. Also, "earned" sounds better than "gained" here. Earned implies they worked towards it and got it as a reward, whereas gained has no such connotation. Keep up the good work!:)
1:09 The English subtitle has a small mistake: It should be “focused on understanding and expressing ideas” instead of “focused on understanding and expression ideas”.
Just wait till you hit accents and other linguistic changes working out which english are you really learning... British, American, Australian, New Zealand and more. TIP: Research where that video is made / based before watching. I have learnt that lesson when trying to watch Chinese Dramas, videos and songs. For some reason I can only handle watching/listening to them I'd they are mainly use Mandarin as the main Chinese verbal language. Otherwise I have a hard time listening, watching and/or enjoying the video/music.
I agree. But also is it awkward to record yourself talking to a screen or camera in public with a bunch of people around you looking at you like "whats this guy doing"??
Why not two languages speak English and Chinese. Because some students want to learn two languages. Please try two videos or one video (one language ) one video ( other language).
