The ending of Sanada Maru. Everybody dies - all the good guys die; the only ones left alive are the villains. :@/ Since this game completely erases the existence of Hideyori, the one who stood amidst the burning Osaka castle was his mother. I don't know how it is for everybody else, but for me who has been playing SW games since the first one, I really miss dream mode. Well, I guess there's IF scenario for Sengoku Musou Chronicle 3... But for the console version, I think the last time there's dream mode is SW2... Maybe dream mode will come back in SW5... with open world (somewhat) and plenty more chronicle mode-like interactions... Maybe... If I'll still be alive to see whether my wishful thinking will come to realization...

This game has emotionally stabbed me so hard, in a good way. SOS has made me so close to characters like Yukimura, Chacha and Sasuke, so it's so, so sad to see this ending with all of them dying and loosing the battle. The game really connects you with the main characters, like playing through Yukimura when he was a child up until the very end, discovering Chacha's horrible life experience and her tragedies, finally seeing Hanzo with emotions when he tears up for Sasuke, etc. The ending has just been in my mind for so long, and I can't really seem to forget about it even though it's a game. It's just really upsetting and breaks all of hope. Reading the description, I very much agree. A dream pathway, like how they did for SW2, would have been so good for this game. Hopefully it does return in SW5.

I'm always side with yukimura or mitsunari all the time even will lose and I don't want to join with Tokugawa

He died in his prime taking part in the biggest battle of his life, which is imo very fitting for a general.

Fun-Fact, actually his son, Sanada Daisuke is also executed after the battle

Well we know he mostly likely died but there no specific information on how he died.

Some believe he got taken down by gunfire during while fighting to get to ieyasu, which doesnt really sound like a fair death, considering he is a great warrior, but still it makes sense i suppose, gunfire would be the only thing capable of taking him down

There's some belief stated that Yukimura was killed when he ran out of staminia by a Tokugawa samurai named Nishio Nizaemon, hence you see the final cutscene having the peon dude standing intimidated there, which I believe Koei means that's the guy that killed Yukimura. Knowing that his death is near and his battle is over, Yukimura just submits himself up without any obligations.

I cried. I wish I could change the history here. I manage to make him survive and win in final battle against Ieyasu in NA: Ascension.

I don't think anyone has ever captured the epic last stand of yukimura who held off a unified japan for months and nearly killed Tokugawa

As history states it was just disagreement between how things should be handled. Maybe at the core both sides wanted the samething but was seen as different views.

*trying to remember* I think I bought the one for Masayuki. I don't really remember the rest, though, whether I bought them or not, most probably not, been long time since I played the game. One of my videos on Sanadamaru should show Masayuki with his NHK costume.
