Thanks for the video and the tour of the GS manufactory! I've noticed that recently more and more enthusiasts are getting a bit tired of GS endless "limited editions", calling it the next Hublot. Personally I guess it's due to culture differences. Japan is well-known for releasing all seasonal limited products, from KitKat and coffee, to clothing and watches.. So this is really nothing new to them but might not be sth westerners are used to. GS has come this far to gain global popularity they might need to address this to further advance.
In high end mechanical watch making industry, Seiko is relatively quite weak. I think this is why they are so conservative to show their watch making know how. For Swiss luxury watch makers, they are very good at building brand image and aesthetics besides technical skills. The former part is something no any other countries are even close to. In this aspect, even Germany and France are much better than Japan.
