What I discovered as a person who grew up in Japan and went abroad for several years is, a lot of Japanese who has been to overseas for a long term, they tend to to love Japan even more than how they used to be. Personally, I realized how great Japan is after I went to study in the U.S., we realize it is very convenient and easy to live in Japan when you actually are out of Japan, ironically. I don't know if that makes sense to you guys but that's what I thought about how patriotic Japanese people are.
the first time to watch this RU-vid channel. it's very good for improving my english skills and for touching other countries' culture. as Atsu_san said, we like and dislike our countries at the same time.
Patriotism: Your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it."。
Isn't 'patriotism' more suitable for '愛国心’? Why Japanese don't obviously show being patirots or are patriotic in lesser degree than many other countries' nations is seemed to be because they've totally changed or was controlled to be changed the education system after the WWII.
