春水 Spring Rain
With the passing of winter and early spring just around the corner, all living things start to awaken to light and warmth. All anticipate the rejuvenating and lifegiving spring shower to arrive. The Hakka people living in Beipu, a mountainous town, get ready to begin a new year’s busy farming schedule. They call to each other with energized shouts, sing mountain songs that reverberate in the hills, and express their romantic hopes as they exult in Nature’s blessing.
山下一坵田　崗頂兩甲園
春水日日連　蓑衣難離肩
耕種望老天　山歌逐寒煙
阿妹有緣惜　日頭暖水田
