This Japanese lady is a witness and survivor of the Great Tokyo Air Raid on March 10th, 1945. She testifies about her traumatic experience during he Great Tokyo Air Raid. The United States despatched more than 300 B-29 bombers and dropped incendiary bombs instead of conventional bombs on downtown Tokyo because American strategists knew most of Japanese residences were made of lumber, and they were very vulnerable to incendiary shells. They also knew very well most of residents in their target were civilians. During only two hours on March 10th, 1945, more than 100,000 noncombatants including women and toddlers perished in the flames. On the other hand, it took about 4 years in Auschwitz to massacre about 1 million Jews. Compared with what Americans did against Japanese civilians in the Great Tokyo Air Raid, even Nazi Germany looks more merciful. A-bombings on Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the Great Tokyo Air Raid are crimes against humanity, but no Americans who were responsible for the Great Tokyo Air Raid etc. were indicted and punished after World War II. Victors are always righteous even if they commit heinous crimes against noncombatants of defeated nations.
