A trip down memory lane.. I used to live in Tmn Segar for several years from 1997 to 2000s. Used to stay in old flats in Jln Lemak, walked to Leisure Mall daily to work in Popular Book Store, where Lora used to work as Supervisor there, she was my manager then and a very good one, she's a perfectionist in whatever she does. In the end her entrepreneurship has made her to leave this retail job and ventured into a business of her passion - food, hence Aunty Lora. I've visited her restaurant and find her prawn noodles is really good, I'm very proud of her with her restaurant expanded to few outlets. I love it there, but Tmn Segar is too high density and full of cars. So I moved to PJ and have settled here until now.
Hi Elmo, thanks for introducing so much good food found in Tmn Segar. I will definitely go to eat at Kaki Bola because I am also a diehard Liverpool football fan.... YNWA ❤👍😋😄
Mr. Lee, I like the way you present all information in your videos. Well organized, excellent content. Your comments add flavor to the food and the short stories. Thank you!
Thanks Elmo. Tmn Segar is like my second home. So much good foods, so many varieties. I had only tried Auntie Lora Prawn noodles and Nasi Lemak last year when back home. Also the Curry Chee Cheong Fun. Sedap😊
Thank you Elmo for your videos, brings back happy memories of those delicious childhood foods, and places you visited as since moving overseas many decades ago, many changes to all the areas and not confident of where to go. You've given me the confidence to check out these food haunts on next visit. Wishing you and family a very happy new year!!
Watching this Tmn Segar food haunting episode without having taken my dinner as yet - makes my digestive system going into full working power !!! Yatt Lau. All the Jalan Manis food stalls visited were very good picks and represented excellent choices. Mou Tat Deng !!! Again - thank you Elmo for bring in your originality from visual, audio and passion to all of us. Also not forgetting your buddy - Danny who not only is a great Liverpool fan but also a good food haunting buddy. Yatt Lau ..... Mou Tat Deng 👏👏👏👌👌👌
Me always go there but didn't realize and go so many restaurants there .. anyway me more interested that you eat all in one day or few day . Seeing you eat rili make me hungry 🤣
Looking forward to try the Kuen Wei Ipoh Beansprout Chicken Rice when I visit Mutiarat Barat next year ! Mutiara Barat is connected to Taman Segar via an overhead bridge which is also connected to Eko Cheras mall 😄👍👍
There’s a very good rojak buah stall right in font of maxis center. The steam talapia, Ahroy and the Chee Cheong Fun was my favourite for the past 20 years. Also the Esquire Kitchen in the mall.
Taman segar indeed has a lot of good makan spot. Been here a couple of times but the biggest headache is car park , at times looking for a decent parking space can take ages. Thanks Elmo for featuring some of the good food haunts .
There are parking in the wet market or municipal hawker centre. What is the parking rate there? Kindly post here. Even parking at Leisure Mall is reasonable. Previously, I park at Eco Cheras Mall and walk over to Taman Segar. It was free once, then flat rate and now it is first 3 hours for RM3 and RM2 hourly rate after that. If I am not mistaken.
I frequent Leisure Mall till today but I do not know what to eat until Elmo's video, thank you. Once, you are in the air-conditioned mall, too lazy to go out to hunt for food under the hot sun. I only frequent the chee cheong fun stall opposite the mall because it is just opposite. This is one of my favourite chee cheong fun stall but UniChoice in Yulek is better, that is my taste bud verdict. When I am in Leisure Mall, I only want to take my chee cheong fun, hence do not have time to hunt for food, that is a disadvantage when you like a food too much. Similar behaviour on every other location.
T.segar next to yulex ht, my bros co was there, bought my first flower fish horn there,a ,lot of makan place, then came the complex cant remember the name ,chinee area always yat low, after late afternoon all this coffee shop will close, with the complex taking over the business fr there ,i would say CHERAS area to KAJANG will always come up with new innovation makan shop, chiat beh liow, the younger generation r more aggresive n competitive is putting up this new type of shop n will renovate heavily.keep it up food adventurer ELMO LEE ,U R THE ONE THAT STILL ON THE MOVED.
Elmo, we are now only eating at places you recommend on your channel. In a way, we find, we're over relying on your channel for your meals cause now, we don't know where to go for dinners. You hardly talk about places for dinner and we are quite lost at the moment 😁
Now many videos in China Hong Kong Taiwan Singapore have intro food Mr. Lee video intro various Malaysian and multi ethn ic food I believe will be more popular thanks 🇲🇾 🤝 🇸🇬 🙏.
