Btw, do you have any idea if there's any app/platform catered for people to do groceries/ daily necessities shopping there? I mean similar to Hong Kong 's Foodpanda and Deliveroo? Thanks.
Brentwood town centre is actually really old from early 1960's and has been quite dead since 1990's with mainly people just going to the original food court.
In 2017, before the new part of the mall was completed, Brentwood mall evicted the tenants from the old section of the mall. Their reasoning was that many high end stores would takeover the space. They claimed that Gucci and Hugo boss, Tiffany would occupy the old sections of the mall along with Harry Rosen. In 2017, the old food court was the only thing that kept Brentwood alive. Many workers from the offices and businesses in the area went to Brentwood for the old food court. But Brentwood decided to eliminate them in favor of the new food court, which is expensive and small. Obviously, Brentwood shot themselves in the foot with their decision. Gucci, Tiffany and holt Renfrew didn’t come. And the old tenants are never coming back. The mall is dead and more businesses will shut down. Many shop owners that had been in Brentwood for 20+ years are now forced into retirement because they got kicked out of Brentwood mall for high end tenants that never came. 😂
Save-On on Madison is still there and Safeway is a couple of blocks away on Hasting but most importantly Costco is only a block away! I do agree Whole Food is a bit pricey but they sell quality food. We stayed in Tower 3 for almost 2 yrs and now settled down in MetroTown.
