Hallo Waldbahnfreunde,
vor einiger Zeit wurde ich zum Kauf einer kleinen, japanischen Waldbahn-Dampflok verleitet und als ich mich entschieden hatte das Thema nicht weiter zu verfolgen, kamen eine passende Draisine dazu und am Ende sogar ein Minianlagen-Konzept. Was haltet ihr von meiner "Waldbahner-Lunchbox"?

Hello folks,
some while ago, I got tempted into Japanese logging railroads by a small 0-4-2 Baldwin. Once decided to NOT step into this topic as well, I bought a matching railcar and finally found a genious idea for another boxed micro layout. What do you think about my "logging railroaders lunchbox"?

Modellbahn "Bento Box"! Wie Klug und Kreativ! As someone who loves Japanese food and model trains and Bonsai, this was a really enjoyable video in more ways than one! Can you provide a link to the controller?

Hi, I use a cheap PWM 12 volts controller as offered on eBay. They come with PC-board and knobs only so I put all parts in a small box and added a connector for 9volt battery. The battery is not housed inside the box. I missed to show the conenctor in detail. Maybe worth another short video in case of interest. Gerd

Ich bin mal wieder schwer begeistert. Die Box ist schon faszinierend, aber die Möglichkeiten darin mit den diversen Layouts sind super. Großes Kompliment !!! Und da heißt es immer, Modellbahn sei teuer und brauche viel Platz.

Is the trackage a set or a collection of individual sections?

YES ;-) it's an oval track set with some individual additions like points and more track. I use straights in 140 and 70mm length and 140mm radius curves, both matching the point geometry. I got all parts second hand. Some of the 140mm straights were cut dowm from longer pieces, which would not fit into my design.

Once you've feasted on Japanese cuisine you soon find yourself hooked . Japanese Trains and Model Railroads are delicacies of Delight . An innocent search for the T1 Bullet Train has opened the cafe doors & now i can't get enough ! If you would've said you got that "lunchbox" out of a Vending Machine , i would've Believed it 🗻🚅💨
