@@陳冠伊-p5y Well, I would say that he doesn’t understand where the inspiration or influence came from. To be more direct, The song’s instrumental is LITERALLY from Amerie’s “Talkin About” which came out ONE ☝🏾 year prior to this. Both are great songs but One took after the other and shows how influential Amerie was during that time. Everyone from Omarion, Toni Braxton, Beyoncé and JLo were using that sound that Amerie was IMMEDIATELY associated with and known for at the time. So it’s not really surprising to see how people would assume of “Get It Right” by JLo, for an example when it was actually inspired by “One Thing” by Amerie. Not to mention, JLo didn’t start working with Rich Harrison until AFTER she her her then-labelmate Amerie doing songs that SHE WANTED (and ULTIMATELY DID NOT GET)!
@@陳冠伊-p5y Check out Empressive’s RU-vid videos on Amerie’s story, it will show and explain A LOT MORE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON at the time. It’s insane! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fc4PDce0zFw.html
They both are talented but at least Jolin didn’t take from Amerie in a way that CoCo Lee did with THIS SONG! Go look up “Talkin About” by Amerie and you will see exactly what it is that I mean.
@@kobeip Rich Harrison. I wrote this comment a while back. I am fully aware of the sample. Now yes we can talk about what is a sample and what it’s intended for and so on and so forth… I just don’t warnt to get into that if you are trying to use that as a way to disagree with my previous statements. In light of recent events, I want to say right here and right now: REST ON AND REST IN SWEET HEAVENLY ANGELIC PEACE TO THE ICON THAT IS COCO LEE. With that being said… under the concerns and potential circumstances regarding the previous subject matter… my original statement pretty much STILL stands. It has yet to be addressed and it’s been 17 years. Now…. We have an icon that has sadly passed on that was considerably involved and likely we will never get to know the true answer. Rest in peace to Coco. And we need to focus on the music from an objective perspective and not say that one is being negative when addressing a coincidence that is rightfully as well as reasonably questionable.

The song was a swipe from Rich Harrison produced track for Amerie’s “Talkin About” from 2005’s “TOUCH” - which was an album that came out a year BEFORE THIS!
