京都御所東、梨木神社は、幕末から明治維新に大業を成された、三条寶萬公と、子息の三条寶美公を御祭神として、三条家御屋敷跡地に、創建されました。
幕末維新に、皇室が江戸に移り、その後、京都御所を残すことにも、御尽力なさったと聞いています。
梨木神社境内、お茶室隣接の水屋は、大正時代に、京都御所から、移築された築年数不詳な由緒正しい建物です。
綺麗に修復された建物が、なんとお洒落なカフェ『コーヒーベース』になりました。

Nashinoki Shrine is dedicated to clans with great contribution to the Meiji Ishin Revolution. These families also played major roles in preserving the old Imperial Palace, which is situated right next to the shrine.
The spring, found within the shrine property, is regarded as one of the three notable sources in Kyoto. A traditional tea house is renovated into a Café to promote the amalgamation of the old and the new.
