樹葉笛吹奏法 How to play leaflute - 3 

I didn't know this was even a thing until today! I always used to blow leaves and large blades of grass between my thumbs to make whistling noises and annoy my parents, but never songs. Now I am determined to master this. Thanks for this tutorial!

This is really fun technique! I play hand flute and (a bit) finger flute. I've also done 'normal' whistling quite a lot in my life. I've practiced this technique with plastic leaf as it's winter now and real leaves aren't available. Quite interestingly this uses pretty similiar mouth movements as normal mouth whistling technique so controlling pitch comes pretty naturally and it is quite easy to make big jumps and be quite precise with them aswell. In fact it's a lot easier than with hand or finger flute techniques. I've managed to play notes between C5-D7, lowest notes are interestingly more difficult than highest notes.

I'm capable of making sound with lots of leafs. LOTS. even with ones that don't have a perfect edge... BUT I CAN'T MAKE DIFFERENT TONES! I hope this video helps me do it. I think I just need some practice

Thanks for making this video it was really useful.I managed to get a sound out in 15 minutes but got only orange and lemon leafs I'm not sure if they will do for the flute.
