For those wondering you can taste the egg more than you'd expect. Kind of the caveat of having something fluffy is it's usually fluffed up with egg whites, agar or aquafaba. All have a distinct flavour that you can't seem to overpower unless you use something like matcha, chocolate or A LOT of sugar.
Exactly what I was thinking of. I know they look good and fluffy but the only thing I could think about was that it probably doesn't taste like a sweet pastry and is probably just straight up egg
