A day tour:
Basalt Island main attraction was the Clasped Hand Rock. The trail begins at the left side of the beach and is hidden in the bushes but luckily is marked by a ribbon. It first lead straight into the vegetation, then emerges mid hill and the view behind is spectacular.
The beach itself is also an attraction, good for snorkeling and swimming after your short hike from the Clasped Hand.
We get there by chartering a speedboat at Saikung Pier. The boat is agreed-upon pick-up and drop-off time. We are 18 people and each costs 260hkd.
