I love how she’s representing her culture in a setting where people are not familiar with it. U can tell she’s proud of her background and her music! It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
I know right I love listening to music from this instrument it deeply relaxes me! Too bad too many people kill just because of racial indifference! They’re too blinded by hatred and greed to see beauty such as this, is everywhere! A lot of times I wish kindness could reach everyone but the devil runs way too rampant!

This doesn't seem possible. According to theories from Filipino internet users, one Filipino soldier is supposedly capable of holding off a hundred Chinese soldiers. They reportedly managed to retreat smoothly from the Korean battlefield with just 800 soldiers against 40,000 Chinese soldiers. Are these theories no longer applicable in reality? Why not resist and fight back instead of just expressing condemnation online? Oh, and by the way, brother, don't forget about your fingers.
The crowd probably didn’t even realize that they were actually in the front rows of a live professional concert, not a typical street show. Spectacular performances! 💛
If a person is playing an instrument as a profession, then that is a professional concert. Even if it is a "typical" street performance. Busking is busking.
One thing I love the most about her, that she still share her world class talent on the street, so a regular guy like me could always enjoying her beautiful mind and music.
Music has no boundaries, no barriers. It connects people all over the world. With all the craziness happening, I hope music will bring the goodness out of everyone and bring people together again. "you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one". Thank you for the video
It is amazing how each stringed instrument from different countries can produce different styles and sounds that is so pleasing to hear. Great cover! It was definitely pleasing to hear.
@@Unknown_4 well I bet she doesn't give af because she ain't Muslim, or even if she is, you don't have a damn right to tell her anything, if she wants her profile pic like that or not, it's her decision
Her finger movement is so good her music is just as beautiful as she is and the way she plays from the soul its not hard to tell that she has a beautiful soul as well
@@SethPortland it's like that F***ing bullshit where Chinese beauties pull shells out of the water filled with 10's of pearls or farm in silk shoes & outfits.. it's all part of the CCP Confucius Institutes propaganda...
That is amazing. Her skill is just out of this world. She embraces her culture in a foreign land, but choosing a more modern American song to play (I'm sure she does all sorts of songs, both modern and traditional). I adore seeing things like this.
This is how it tells you that music is a universal language we share with no boundaries. A Chinese music instrument, a song from a modern era American singer and a French city. The beauty of humanity all in one.
Imagine the pride the Chinese tourists felt watching her? Must have been such lovely feeling to watch one of their own shine so beautifully like that. 🎶🎵💖
Such an emotional song played by a wonderful muscian who puts her heart and soul into it, to take this song off the riccter scale to a whole new level of emotional🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 The way she plays that imstrument and the sound it produces and her clothing, chills.. literal chills..😶😮😮😮
Hoping to see one of these performance in the future, not exactly this one but those performers who share their amazing talent to other people. Imagine having to experience this as you visit other countries, it makes it more memorable. I was working in the US over the past years and every 6 months, I had to go to other places because I had to change employers. And within those times, I mostly listen to music before or after work. That was my life and when I went home to my home country, if a familiar song pops out, all I can think of was the places I’ve been, the people who I worked with and the fun we all had, and of course those sad times I had to cope up alone because I’m far from my family. So yeah, this is such a beautiful performance. Thank you
Fact about the Guzheng instrument… The guzheng became prominent during the Qin dynasty (221-206 BC). By the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) the guzheng may have been the most commonly played instrument in China. The design of the Guzheng instrument originated in China and quickly travelled to Japan to become the koto, Korea to become the gayageum, Mongolia to become the yatga, and Vietnam to end up a đàn tranh. All of these instruments are built and played similarly but they serve very different purposes in the music of each culture. A guzheng is also quite similar to another Chinese zither, called a guqin (古琴). The essential difference is that our guzheng features around 18 or 21 moveable bridges underneath its strings, where the guqin has none. Both versions are known for the unique depth of their string resonance.
There are many theories, but zither string instruments existed on the Korean Peninsula even before interacting with China. Among Korean instruments, ajaeng is definitely an instrument that came in during the Song Dynasty of China. However, gayageum is an instrument made in Gaya(Ad 42- 532). It is an instrument made spontaneously on the Korean Peninsula. There is also another theory that it is from India. I don't know the exact fact, but it is true that there was a string instrument such as Gayageum on the Korean Peninsula before. Anyway, East Asian musical instruments are very similar.😆
I found three things when i addicted to hear guzheng things I found Gayageum(korean zhiter) Guzheng/guqin(chinense zhiter) Koto(japan zither) And im searching whose the first founded but now i know maybe guzheng #Cmiiw
@@포플러-c9s u do not need to state anything, as we all know, korea created everything in the universe and of course everything in east asian is contained.🥱
The world is beautiful due this amazing diversity. Thanks for showed us this amazing Chinese instrument and your passion to bring western music on it. Gratitude!
As an Asian American (Chinese) I am just smiling so much right now, seeing how she is bringing such a beautiful cultural instrument from China around the world to share its beauty and the absolute talent the Guzheng or Guqin instrumentalists are. My parents were thinking of buying a Guzheng to bring back to America with us - shame we didn't. It's truly a majestic instrument.
I have spent the last 4 hours listening to your music , your talent , grace and ability is wonderful , I hope one day to meet you and listen live . Thank you . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In fact, it can also be explained with a little musical theory knowledge. First of all, the melody of this song is less semitone, and the pitch material is very similar to that of Chinese pentatonic scale. Coupled with the rendering of guzheng timbre, it sounds ancient. 其实也可以用一点乐理知识来解释,首先这首歌旋律半音极进比较少,音高材料和中国五声调式音阶又很相近,再加上古筝音色的渲染,所以听起来就有一种古风的味道。
Hello Jingxuan, I just saw your video this week. You are an amazing musician! I love your rhythmic expressions. I am a musician as well (I own a music business), and I really enjoy seeing and working with other excellent musicians. Just watching you play, your passion... your artistry... truly inspires me. Thanks you so much... I hope our paths cross one day. Blessings on your life!
I believe all of us can agree that it's very hard to not fall in love with your performance. The combination of the Guzheng and the modern music was way everyone's beyond imagination till you brought it to us. Thanks
Recently there’s a lot of ambitious works that combines traditional Asian instruments and music style into Western music and a lot of them work surprisingly well. I hope that these cultural instruments can be used more in future works.
@뭘보노 you do know that it literally said 古筝 which is guzheng in English in the title right? And yes guzheng( Chinese) , koto (Japanese) and Gayageum (korean) all looks very similar, I think it is because they came from a same roots. All the the instrument above is from a few thousand years back. I don’t know if it is true but I think the original root is guzheng except it looks very different from the one we see now.
@@Randomweirdogirl Don’t worry too much about these people, they just want to start fights for no reason, they have no evidences to back themselves up and also they won’t listen to your explanation and will just insult you. I’ve had similar experiences on other channels.
"PENG Jing Xuan graduated from Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 with Master in musicology last year. She is currently studying harp at Bordeaux International Music Conservatory. She hopes she will be admitted as a doctoral candidate at the conservatory this year." Ms Peng has been playing guzheng for 18 years.
She is proud of where she came from.. and I love her dress.. the past culture of Chinese. I'm a fan of Chinese fantasy drama and movies where that dress is wore.. so charming, delicate and beautiful ♥️

This proves that musical genres have no boundaries. Whether it is classical, traditional or western/modern music. There's always place between those genres that we can unify to create harmonious melody with respect of their styles ang usage.
I believe the average person no matter the nationality or political party wants the same thing. Just to live and let live. It's the leaders that lust after power and control.
