Thanks for showing all those failures, too. You rarely see those in these kinds of videos, which tend to be trimmed for perfection. Also congrats on your videos in general, very nicely done.
I am potter so i understand how heart breaking it was! But also learning each time. I wish you could joint all the broken ceramic pieces and sell it or use it somehow! theres multiple way to joint it together.
Oh man!! I wanted to cry when I saw so many broken ones. They were all so gorgeous. I wish they had turned out. I love watching your videos. It is incredible how versatile your skills are. I’m amazed constantly.
The best part honestly was watching all those steps of failure. I've made wild clay pottery so I know how hard it is! Your problems was probably combination of the drying and shrinking process of the clay (in the future adding sand, clipped hair or baked clay dust helps a lot!). And Letting them air dry for a LONGER time than you expect. thank you for not just showing the success! This is part of art!
I'm a professional sculptor and working with wild clay like that and firing in such a primitive furnace where the heat is so uneven and hard to regulate will result in a whole buncha cracks like that. Considering the circumstances you work with this was extremely successful
This person must be a genius. I'm resting comfortably while healing. Thank you. If you come to Korea, I will guide you to the beautiful old palace in Korea.
I am in love with this guy's patience and dedication and knowledge! So damn admirable! I am so curious about your life and upbringing! Please make a video about that too...
I used to watch Li Ziqi's channel and wondered how could one have knowledge in so many things......today RU-vid recommend this channel and i am still amazed by your talent, labour and determination Having known the story behind each piece, I would love to even have the cracked pieces... Love from India ❤
It may seem strange to young people, but if you look at older generations (and probably some middle-aged people) it is entirely possible to have a vast amount of knowledge about how to keep a household on your own, especially if they live away from big cities.
In today's age it's easier! I have taught myself lots of things with RU-vid books and Internet alone. Sewing, embroidery, wild clay pottery, drawing and painting, gardening, etc etc.
Only the second video Ive seen and Im hooked! I appreciate you showing the lessons in addition to the final outcome more than you know! As someone trying to create, I need all the reminders I can get!❤
My heart felt pain every time there was broken one. It made the one that wasn't broken all the more precious. What an amazing video. Your art is truly beautiful.
Did you ever discover the reason for the cracking? Were the disks too thick and not dry enough when firing? Did you fire the kiln too fast? Did you need sand to allow for shrinking of the clay when in the kiln? I would love to know.
Love from India ❤❤ I'm amazed by your hardwork 😮 to be honest, I'm always stunned by how Japanese people have a lot of patience! It would be great if you add English subtitles as well, as many of us don't know Japanese.
@CNshanbai wow, that's amazing ! Such a young man to know so many ! Fair play to you and to who thought you! 👏👏👏 Keep doing what are you doing ! You are amazing! ❤
If the first one doesn't work, keep trying until you get the one that works. this is the admiration that I see in this man. Never give up. it will work out eventually and to be honest I felt for him seeing all the broken ones, but I'm glad he showed that it doesn't always work. most people would've just shown the one that did and never all the broken attempts before it. Thank you for being honest with this and showing that it just takes patients to reach your goal.
@@CNshanbai Yes, please keep making these videos. I enjoy watching them seeing how things were made a long time ago and are still being made the same way today.
You make some very interestingly cool stuff that i would have never even thought of but glad I'd seen you do it I have watched almost all of your videos on RU-vid but have not seen all the ones on douyin it is kinda hard for me to watch them considering i do not speak Chinese still they are great
M'man has some TENACITY! I surely would have given up after the first three cracked in the kiln. But seeing the broken ones certainly makes the final one feel more valuable.
Same. My first attempt at sculpture took weeks and trial and error to get JUUUUUST right, and then it blew up in the kiln. Too many air bubbles from where I etched the wet clay when joining limbs. I'm still brokenhearted and can't bring myself to try again.
