Wasted potential with Wukong's. They could've at least alluded to the "other Wukong" (that everyone calls Gokuu via being unaware of language parallels anyways) by either giving him a palm beam blast, or at least an attack akin to Gracia's Ultimate Musou.
It's common knowledge that Son Goku is the Japanese version of Sun Wukong, and Goku in Dragonball is directly based off of Wukong. In fact, the OG Dragon Ball was a loose interpretation of Journey to the West. Goku is Wukong obviously, and Bulma is Sanzang with the other supporting characters like Yamcha and the like filling in for the others.
@@smward87 tell that to unaware people who never knew of it in America and are jizzing whenever they're like "OH MY GOD THEY CALLED THIS MONKEY GUY GOKUU-KAMEHAMEHAAAAA" Also, the Ox King had the same exact Asian name as the Bull Demon King as well. "What's Divine Comedy? I only know Dante and Vergil from Devil May Cry" *in a whiny fashion* "THEY WERE ARTISTS IN THE RENAISSANCE AGE? BUT I THOUGHT THEY WERE NINJA TURTLES! BS!" *Butthurt tone* "WHAT?! JIRAIYA FROM NARUTO, RIGHT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE AND THE TWO OTHER SANNIN ARE FROM A TALE?!" 孫悟空 is the name of a hungry monkey alien as hungry as the pig companion as opposed to a monkey king. If it's clear that I notice a name that's transliterated between Chinese, Japanese and Korean, I'm not treating it as a different name. Saying "Chou Un is based off of Zhao Yun" is stupid imho in that regard if that name is the same. You can't say "Chou Un is Zhao Yun in Japanese" instead? I'm just sick of most unaware Dragon Ball diehards who want to go KAIOUKEN X200 PLANET BUSTER; Dragon Ball's other characters are much more interesting and original.
