On Oct 19 2019, the 2nd-ever ElectroniCON festival brought together a diverse collection of 25 artists loosely (and not-so-loosely) related to the genre "vaporwave" from all over the world. Held at the historic Catch One club in Los Angeles, the festival took place from 2pm to midnight in three different rooms.
At 8:20PM 猫シ Corp., from the Netherlands, performed their first show ever in the Underground room.

why is sandrawave so acclaimed among vaporheads? even tho it counts with great aesthetic, a nice year of release, i did enjoy it many times , still, its badlyproduced. Pretty ironical to say for this genre. Yet, production, is a great variable for success

I’m so happy I was there to witness this moment in history. Such a great set. Never thought in a million years I’d hear mallsoft live. Lol The ambient tracks he played as well were absolutely amazing. By far my favorite part 🌀👽🌀👽🌀👽🌀

Coming from a predominantly heavy metal background, I never really understood how live performances of electronic music, such as vaporwave, worked. I thought for the longest time that just sitting there with music not played by instruments bored me. But after seeing this, how excited everyone was to see Corp and hear some of his hits and seeing all the visuals in the background, I realized that there's more to the experience than just the music. 08/06/2024 I'm also from Brazil and i'm absolutely in love with Corp. He's so talented that he can express the goodness of A m e r i c a even to foreigns like us. I was never meant to be here, but his songs are so good and powerful that i had no choice but stay. One of my top dreams is going to US just to see him.

I still can't believe I got to be front row during Cat System's first ever live show! That part starting at 10:28 was actually pretty heavy live; I could feel the bass vibrating throughout my body, haha

Listening to the LP in its all glory right now on headphones. The ambiance, crowd chatter, and venue echo surrounding these mall beats... aquamarine swirly vinyl... the bubbly feel good beachy LA vibes on the cover. It all brings me back to e-Con II and all its magic. Honored to have been there and hung with you Jornt, and everyone one else--what a magical party! I'll always remember that and the fun vapor breakfast the next morning :D ... We are now living in odd times, but this will be a watermark among my pre-2020 adventures.
