生田川 と 神戸山側浜側 │ Ikuta river runs through Kobe city , Hyógo 

南北の平地が狭い神戸市街では北を「山側」南を「浜側(海側)」と呼んで方角を指し示すことがあるようです。その山側の六甲山から湧き出た生田川は、いくつかの堰堤や布引の滝を経て六甲麓にある新神戸駅の真下をくぐり、急に山岳渓流から都市河川にその様相を変えます。そして阪神間の主要鉄道や国道をくぐり、一気に浜側へと流れていきます。ちなみに生田川はその昔、三宮付近を経て現在のフラワーロードの位置を流れていたそうです。
Kobe City is located in a long and narrow area sandwiched between mountains and the sea. Therefore, rivers flowing from mountains have a shorter distance to the sea. In Kobe, you can feel the freshness of the forest and the sea breeze right next to you.
