津波の被害を受けた福島県沿岸部(震災翌日 : 午前10時すぎ)。ヘリからの空撮映像。
南相馬市から相馬市にわたる広域を撮影。
海岸より、1～2km離れた地点でも、はっきりと津波の傷痕が残っている。
集落の家々は、がれきや土砂に囲まれ、あるいは半分埋もれたり、壊されたりしている。
道路も、ところどころ土砂が堆積していたり、水に覆われたりしている。
海岸近くに目を向けると、さらに甚大な被害の様子がわかる。
丸ごと消えた集落。家・建物が全て流され、おびただしい数の土台だけが残っている。(南相馬市・原町区周辺)
田園地帯にまで運ばれた定置網や、大きく破壊された南相馬市野球場などを捉えながら、さらに北上するヘリ。
しかし、共通している光景は、どこまでが海で、どこまでが陸だったのか判別できないほど水に浸食された海岸線、そして、建物の上部が完全に流された無数の跡(土台)また跡。(南相馬市・鹿島区周辺から相馬市・松川浦南部周辺にかけて)

The coast of Fukushima prefecture suffering damages from the tsunami. (Day of earthquake, just after 10 a.m.) Footage shot from helicopter above, a wide area from Minamisoma city to Soma city. Scars from the tsunami are apparent even in areas 1-2km away from shore. Homes within the community are surrounded by debris and soil, or half buried, even broken. The roads are covered with water or heaps of soil in some parts. Turning the eyes to the coast, an even greater damage can be observed. A community that has vanished entirely; countless houses and buildings all washed away, and only their foundations remain. (Haramachi area, Minamisoma city) The helicopter heads further north, capturing fixed fishing nets that were carried away to the fields and paddies or the Minamisoma city baseball stadium now in ruins. The familiar view continues, the coastline's borderline indistinguishable due to its submergence in water, and the countless foundations of buildings completely washed away one after another. (Kashima area, Minamisoma city to Southern Matsukawaura area)
