私の名前は紅 美鈴(ほん めいりん) My name is Hong Mei Ling ゲーム/Game: 東方 Touhou Sakuya-san, Sakuya-san, cleaning stop! Room cleaning stop! For subs in English, turn on annotations. (o~ -^)b Credits: yuki.kitune.inf...
Someone archived a lot of them(and it even works in this video!):chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/annotations-restored-for/daabpdmgkghdbfljmeahnplkcldbeefg
For those who don't understand the joke: The Kanji 红美领 (Chinese-looking characters) are pronounced Hong Mei Ling in Chinese but 美领 is pronounced Mi Isuzu or (Misuzu when said quickly) and 红 which doesn't have a direct syllabic value in Japanese is translated to Kurenai which means scarlet or deep red and is sometimes used to refer to China (various reasons, ancient tradition, communism etc.) ほん めいりん is the Katakana (phonetic Japanese characters) that corresponds to the Chinese pronunciation.
I laugh everytime... Remilia: China. Hong: My lady! That's the name of a country! Sakuya-san!? Sakuya-san!? Creaning stop! Room creaning stoooooop! *Knife'd*
For everyone wanting the subs, it is in annotations. You know, the thing that RU-vid stopped displaying since a few years ago. There is a browser-extention these days to restore displaying them, so go find that one.
The kanji for her name can be read by Japanese people as "Kurenai Misuzu". This led to a debate about what her name really was until some 4chan (or 2chan) poster said "Just call her China". The fans took that and ran away with it.
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! Everything is wroooooong!!! Oh NO! You are doing this on purpose, aren't you? My lady. Are you shooting? A beautiful barrage of bullets, are you shooting? Sakuya-san Sakuya-san cleaning stop!
Translate since no one provide it (it's in my style so maybe it's inaccurate compared to annotation) To provide context Hong Meiling hanzi is 红美领 Remilia: Hong Miling (美 is pronounced "Mi" in Mandarin, where in Meiling's case it should be pronounced in Cantonese which is "Mei") Meiling: Oh, that's so wrong. So, so wrong. Are you pronouncing my name wrong? Listen, listen, listen. Hong Mei-Ling. That is my name. Milady, you pronounce it wrong - Hong Mi-Ling. Hong Mei-Ling and Hong Mi-Ling are different. Now, do you know where's you wrong? Next time, remember this and never say my name wrongly. Hong Mei-Ling, okay? Remilia is now angry and that make Meiling tremble in fear Meiling: No no no! I didn't meant to make you mad, milady! I really didn't meant to do that! So, please keep your anger away, okay~ Oh milady, smile again. Now Remilia is happy and this make Meiling happy too Meiling: Oh, good. Now try again, milady. Remilia: Kurenai Misuzu (japanese pronounciation of 红美领) Meiling: No, no, no, no, no! Everything you say is completely wrong! Oh no! Are you intentionally want to piss me off?! Oh milady, are you want to make my anger burst? Are you want to make my anger burst like beautiful flower danmaku, isn't it? Miss Sakuya? Miss Sakuya? Miss Sakuya! Cleaning stop! Milady makes me annoyed! She always pronounce my name wrong! Remilia: China (back at Meiling name is disputed, people in 2ch agreed to colloquially call her China) Meiling: OH MILADY THAT'S A COUNTRY NAME! MISS SAKUYA! MISS SAKUYA! CLEANING STOP! ROOM CLEANING STOP! Meiling got her head stabbed by Sakuya's knife Meiling: Hong Meiling, Hong Meiling, Hong Meiling, Hong Meiling Hong Meiling, Hong Meiling Hong Meiling HO-NG MEI-LING (the end)
@PedroTheHutt How would the red-white know? Besides, Reimu is an 'incident solver' - solving the kind of incidents that affect the whole of Gensokyo, not just one insignificant human from the outside world.
@randommaster06 It's a play on words, though. The first "kurenai" is using the japanese reading of her kanji, but the whole part is: "Milady is calling me Kurenai! She won't correctly say my name!"
@TheEternalLeader It keeps changing throughout the video - it's 怒 (anger) when she is angry and 怖 (fear) when she gets scared of Remilia. The default one is め (me, as in the Japanese syllable, not the English pronoun), which it reverts to after she gets knifed, but I'm not sure what it means. Probably it's just short for "Meiling"
お嬢様が言ってくれないんです。私の名前を正しく言ってくれないんです。 I believe it should be "My Lady won't say it. My Lady won't say my name properly". 怒ってないアル!お嬢様、私ぜんぜん怒ってないアル Judging by the second sentence, I think she's saying that she (China) isn't angry, though it's a bit up in the air. Just my 2 cents.
