@@AllenChen-dr2xg ?? sorry i don't follow....the majority of HKers hv been speaking Cantonese, before and after 1997.... and, it seems that you have a wrong assumption about our daily speaking language :)
A wonderful performance by the very best, Lo Ta-yu. Brings back many memories of the past from those songs that was once hit the top parade charts across South East Asia. Evergreen songs are hard to find nowadays and it is good to be able to hear them once again.
I still remember that there was once a Taiwan TV program in which Jonathan Lee 李宗盛 was promptly called to be the No. 1 song writer in the Chinese arena. However, he humbly stood up and tell the audiences that he is No. 2 and not the best as there is another writer much better than him although he started writing songs at an earlier career. The best song writer title should be accord to Lo Ta-You 羅大佑 instead. He continued to say, he is happy to be No. 2 in line. Such a fine gentleman.
Never been to China or Taiwan, don't even speak much Mandarin, but I found Lo Ta-you's music in my Mandarin class and I fell in love. 罗先生, 您的音乐很好听,多谢您!
