here in my country they do not sell urethane paint, I will have to try with barnis for sublimation, which is applied on the body and it must be cooked for 20 min at 160 ° C, and creates a base to sublimate bowls or ceramics. It is called polymer or varnish to sublimate. I will do the tests with that and see what happens, at least that they occupy in articles that are stamped at 200 ° c. no problem. When I have the results I will share them, because if it is serious to share it because it helps to improve production times. thank you very much for your explanation I understood perfectly what you are saying. very nice of you. Thank you
hello great video !!! I have two questions: 1. what needs to be used for soil? 2. on your video you are showing a thermal press, can you tell me where it can be bought or ordered ???
Your work is really awesome, I follow with a passion. I am trying to make something with my own sources. I have a basic small covering machine. The varnish tooks away the shine after I make covering. What can I do to keep that shiny covering?
① Try changing the concentration of paint. ② Try different kinds of paint. ③ Change the paint used for the base. ④ After drying for about 30 days, do a top coat. Please do your best.
I am using a sheet already on the back side of the hologram sheet with hot melt adhesive. The sheet is glued by pushing the sheet against the lure with silicone rubber warmed to 150 ° C ~ 200 ° C.
Good morning K Naga. I am a small manufacturer of lures from Chile and first say thank you very much for sharing your work with us. Second, I am interested in discovering the two bases that apply to the naked lure before applying foil hot transfer. I have looked for paint (urethane, car paint) and they do not appear, only (polyurethane, car paint) will have the same result in hot stamping? the polyurethanes to be dried must be mixed with a 4: 1 catalyst, and there is also a first colored polyurethane, which must also be catalyzed 4: 1. but I see that you have the paintings inside a jar and at no time do you apply anything to catalyze. My fear is that the polyurethane does not support the high temperatures of 200 degrees F. Do you know if using paint (polyurethane) could have the same result as paint (urethane)? Stay tuned to your comments.
The paint I use in the movie, the first one (in a can) is a primer for metal and paint to be in close contact. The second (white one in the bottle) is an aqueous urethane paint. It is not for cars. Dry the aqueous urethane paint for 1 week to 3 months. If the drying time is short, foil arrival is good, but the heat deforms the aqueous urethane paint. In Japan, aqueous urethane paints are sold for gate and outer walls. When applying foil, the set temperature of the heater exceeds 200 ° C, but the contact surface is about 130 ° C ~ 190 ° C.

hello friend, I did the tests, paint the metal lures with a water based acrylic paint, and let it dry 1 day, and stamp with the foil hot stamping and the result was wonderful, works perfectly. so it can be recommended if urethane paint is not available. Greetings and many thanks for motivating to find solutions.
K Naga, are you using any sort of adhesive between the foil and urethane paint? I have a foil machine and have made many attempts with many different adhesives to get the foil to stick completely and haven't had great luck. I appreciate any help you are willing to give. Thank you.
Foil uses things for hot stamping. It is made of 3 layer structure. The first layer is a hot melt adhesive, the second layer is a hologram with an aluminum vapor deposited layer. The third layer is a sheet of PET resin. The adhesive I use is only the first layer hot melt adhesive.
Thank you so much for your reply. May I also ask where (what website) you purchase your heat transfer foils. I have been searching for the wavy pattern roll that you have in your hand @ minute 5:55 with the arrow and masking tape. It has been difficult to track down. Thank you again.
Hello great fisherman friend I bought the hot foil machine. But I'm trying to solve the problem. The lacquer leaves the holographic. What kind of varnish or resin do you put me in?
I am hot stamping 7 to 10 days after I paint water based urethane paint. These change in summer and winter. Of course it is set temperature and time to press. I am still trial and error. let's do our best.
Hi , Good work !.. i also do Metal Jigs but with Airbrush . All my Jigs aprox 18 cm and its possible to buy your maschiene because this to collect is difficult / Thanks !
