BTW, the courtesy motor insurance is generally not valid for IDP holders, only full UK licensees could get thru the online registration. Have to check carefully before driving off.
I don't even trust those dealers but Carcheck for HPI and MOT histories as well as OCD scan by myself before final acceptance, no grace period for money back guarantee then no deal.
I just bought a approved used car from a French brand, the website from dealer and manufacturer's brand showed it have 12 months warranty on all approved car, so I assume no problem and placed order. However, after few days I ordered it, the dealer service sales told me it just have 3 months warranty as the car is too old (4 years only) and tell me to upgrade. I verfiy this with the manufacturer and they also told me the 12 months warranty only applied for those that still have warranty contract with them. I told them how can I know the used car still have warranty contract or not and apparently they showed 12 months warranty in their website (without saying whether it still have warranty when you buy it). Luckily, I did express my thoughts on how the dealer and manufacturer said in the website and the dealer (not the manufacturer) offers me 12 months warranty at the end. So be careful and ask more when you buy a car.
The photo of my approved used car seemed to show front sensors on the dealership website but not in the description. I phoned the sales staff who only followed the information on their system. Finally, I went to check the car in person and found that there were actually front sensors.
