Sure, you can pay for voluntary ni when you had applied the ni number at the same financial year. (In your case, you can pay for April-July )However, you better to check it out at your gateway acct. www.gov.uk/check-national-insurance-record
Yes, you can. How long it takes You can make same or next day payments: by approving a payment through your online bank account by online or telephone banking (by Faster Payments or CHAPS) at your bank or building society You can pay within 3 days using online or telephone banking (by Bacs) or by cheque through the post.
I still need to pay NI after i reached the State Pension age(66,67,68) However, that NI won't be paid back for me. Only the amount I contributed on or before the state pension age will be paid me back provided that I made up the ten years rule?
You no need to pay any NI contributions after you reach the retried age. Unfortunately, there is nothing be paying back for you either state pension or any contributions you had paid before... However, you should find HMRC for advice in your case.
Hi 謝謝回覆! 對,state pension 係會當收入一部份,仍會計算在£12570(2023-2024年度)的免稅額內,假設您拎到Full State Pension 即每年£10600,您仍有£12570-£10600=£1970 的免稅額可用。 Are all pension payments taxable? The short answer is yes, income from pensions is taxed like any other kind of income.
如果NI自願供款for state pension是可以追溯返以往6年內的gap year 指定金額,可以去check-ni-contribition 政府網站就check得到。但先賣個關子,下一集會教大家不需要昂貴的gap year 指定金額就可以供到ni,密切留意
hi, thanks for sharing, very useful. I have 3 simple queries : 1. in contributing NI for just 2 years, if i stop contributing NI (no work) or contribute gap NI credit, i still cannot get the money back when retired ? 2. if pay the gap NI credit up to 10 years (i contributed 2 years NI already), got BC, then if move back to HK after 6 years whether still can enjoy pension when retired ? 3. I contributed NI for 2 years (around GBP650 per month), if i stop working now, my gap NI credit also be calculated based on GBP650 per month ? thanks for assistance.
Thank for queries ! 1. Yes, the min. contributions are 10 years. You still need more 8 years for the state pension. 2. It is a good question I haven't mentioned. You can still get the pension. But you can't get pension increases yearly if you don't live in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or a country which has a social security agreement with the UK. (Hong Kong is not included). 3. Unfortunately, ni contributions only depend on how times you had paid by each week/month. No matter how much you had paid.
@@andyartstudio thanks andy. for query 1 : if i not working, not to pay gap NI credit, can i take back the contributed NI (2 years) from government ? 2. you mean if i contributed 10 years NI, I can get GBP58.24 per week without any increase until the end ? 3. for gap NI, may i know how much i need to pay if i not working now ? (~GBP15.4) per week, 15.4 x 4 = 61.6 per month ?
@chikongalexwu6220 @chikongalexwu6220 You are welcome. 1) Unfortunately not. You can't get back any contributions once you've paid. Because NI payments not only for state pension. 2) Yes, depend on how long you will stay in UK. However, you stay aboard for a long time but back to UK. The increasing will be starting again. 3. Yes, but you are better to login in the HMRC acct for the details every end of financial year. Moreover, you can have your NI contributions through Class 2 or Class 4. I will tell more about it next video .

@georgeleung8981 Negative. Everyone will not need to pay NI contributions reached retried age. If you hadn't contributed at least 10 years for NI. You can't receive any State Pension when you retire. However, you still have the right to apply Pension Credit (Public Fund) if you have any financial problems. Hope that information can help you.

You contribute back 10 years NI, then you can entitle 10/35 full state pension, eg currently 203 pounds X 10/35 per week you need to think about how much you payback 補交10 年qualified year NI? eg, 10X 1200 pounds? = 12,000 pounds or more? Is it worth to get than 203 pounds X 10/35 per week, unless you think you can reach 100 years old or more. Good Luck!
You’re eligible for the basic State Pension if you were born before: 6 April 1951 if you’re a man 6 April 1953 if you’re a woman If you were born on or after these dates you must claim the new State Pension they need 30 years in total to qualify for 100% entitlement in basic State Pension. New State Pension: You did not make National Insurance contributions or get National Insurance credits before 6 April 2016 Your State Pension will be calculated entirely under the new State Pension rules. You’ll usually need at least 10 qualifying years on your National Insurance record to get any State Pension. You’ll need 35 qualifying years to get the full new State Pension. You’ll get a proportion of the new State Pension if you have between 10 and 35 qualifying years.
