蒙古人 (The Mongolian) 

The singer's name is Tenger. He is also the composer of this beautiful song. He is an inner Mongolian. He is highly honored and respected in China for his contribution to the Mongolian music. Many Chinese, including myself, love his music.

you can find many tribes of genghis khan in modern Kazakhs people such as qayan, kongurat, naiman, merkit, jalayr, dughlat, oirat, onghut, kereiyt, many many... i myself from naiman tribe of kazakh people. modern kazakh consisted of 41 big tribes, 80-90% of them related to ginghs khan. also there is another tribe called Tore, they are direct descendant of genghis khan, from his eldest son, jochi. they are also a lot in kazakh people.

That is true, old Mongolian is more difficult. At least, you would expect the government to have Mongolian signage on the road signs and on stores. because Ulan Bataar looks like an old Soviet town, it doesn't have the characteristics you would expect of a Mongolian town.

Yes, Bogd Khan's Palace. The original old palace still exists is in disrepair and the Chinese rebuilt the entrance gate and surrounding structures. The orginals were burnt down by a Chinese warlord in the 20s? I think.

It depend which part of Inner Mongolia you went to. If you head to the Mongol majority areas, like in the Hulunbuir area, Mongol culture is still very strong.

From Early-Mongol empire-Yuan Dynasty-...-Qing Dynasty-China (inner Mongolia)/Mongolia (outer Mongolia), many of our chinese people and mongolian people still share the Mongoloid bloodstream. Hopefully one day, we will re-unit as in Yuan Dynasty (Greater China)- Qing Dynasty-Early Republic of China. 大哉乾元！

i can feel the Mongol commentator's disagreement because this is sung in Mandarin...it'll be like in our case the Igorots (we also poses oriental eyes) of the mountains of Luzon, Philippines when a lowland Filipino theater dance group would post "Igorot Dance" here in you tube and they dance it the way they interpret it...moreover they are not Igorots themselves!

as a han chinese, i think mongolian as a group of people, not a country, there are mongolians and han chinese in mongolia and there are mongolians and han chinese in China, we share a lot of similirities and mongolians ruled china for a long time, so the word "chinese" is just like "Europeans", i think it means more things than just han chinese people, it is more like a esat Asia culture. mongolians can be chinese and chinese can be mongolians.

This is interesting, now I know the Chinese name is 萨满。I think Khanate of Kazan is a place name, isn't it? Then, what ethical group you think you are of? I know your grandfather is a Mongolian, how about your grandma? Another interesting question is how can the native American Indian have the same religion with Tungusic peoples? Many of them actually are my fellow Chinese now. I just curious on history of north China.

I like Mongol music, but looking at the history of Mongol to rade China, it was a shame, if Mongolian do not look at history, and keep Chinese as week neighbours, then, it is just a loss nation. I do not need to hate Mongol now because China is so strong.
