From 1979 to 1982 I was the Commander of the PPCU in the RHKP, operating 14 Saracen APCs. It was the very best job in the world and the men I had the honour to command were all fantastic. The old PTU Camp at Volunteer Slopes in Fanling was a unique place, teaching unique skills. Anyone who served with me during my time in the Unit will remember fondly the parties we enjoyed in what used to be known as the CI's Bungalow, but more properly known as Ko Ping Bungalow. Station Sergeant Leung is one of the narrators, he was my invaluable 2i/c. The white-haired gentleman I remember only as Cheung suk (Uncle Cheung).
