Coming from Guangzhou over 40 years ago, I refused to let my Canadian born children speak like HongKong person. I now subscribe and will share you post with her. and we love 豆豉鯪魚 from a can always, now I can cook with it. I have to show my mother as well.

I've lived in China for over 5 years now. I"ve never had the nerve to buy that can of fish with black beans. But my local Hot Max no longer sells Tuna so I will give it a try.
It is a really nice fish to eat, it does not smell fishy at all you can cook it in the can in boiling water, I like it just with plain boiled rice, something i used to do if cash was a problem, Fried Dace in black beans is one of my all time favourites.
Well dont like sugar to be added into the stir fry long beans in this dish as this will get rid of the natural flavor of the long beans ....In the west we are trying not to have too much sugar and why are the chinese nowadays keep adding sugar in their dish and we need savory not sweetness in the dish ...
