@@jamiekelly708 Just being real, didn't she freak out when other females were around, and didn't she chew off her own fingers because of it, and doesn't she eat constantly? Never said anything about these Gorilla's that wasn't true.They're a hoot! Dysfunction Junction, She's an animal in a zoo, and she has mental problems, I've never seen anything like it. Just the way it is. I'm sure she'll be fine,relax.

Mr1Gitrdone Just because something is factual doesn’t necessarily mean it’s up for amusement. Maybe you think I’m a little sensitive for Genki, but I get really tired of a lot of people making fun of her for these problems. Would you abase and humiliate a human for having mental issues or anxiety? She’s doing her best and she’s been a great mama despite the near constant digs at her. As the supposed elite species I would think humans would have a little more compassion. I see some people that love to pipe up about her eating habits if another person asks what happened to her fingers, and there are some really ‘mean girls’ who think nothing of opining about removing Gentaro or Kintaro as if the gorillas were dolls that can be mixed and matched with other gorillas so easily, discounting the trauma for this lovely family of gorillas. I wish they could put themselves in the gorilla’s shoes and imagine how they would feel if someone swooped in and stole their babies. I get so frustrated at how blasé some people are about this troupe. I’ve read all the comments since Kintaro was born and there have been some real asshole opinions, some of them from people like you and Sonja and Emma and Bobbe calling for the keepers to take Kintaro away and hand-rear him and it turns out that he was just a late bloomer. Genki didn’t mind carrying him around but tons of people wrote about Genki stunting his growth and how he was gonna grow up behind the other gorillas his age, like he would otherwise get into Harvard FFS! I’m just asking everyone to tone it down and act like decent people.

@@jamiekelly708 No I wouldn't say that about a human, because a human isn't a Gorilla in a ZOO. Genki doesn't kick back and read these comments nor do the keepers read them to her. They're animals, not people. Gentaro NEEDS to be taken away and that would be for his own good, he needs a mate so he can start his own family and not keep humping his brother. All natural things I might add. Sure she's been a great mama BUT "despite the near constant digs at her"? Are you serious? Do you believe she reads these comments and is stressed out about what people are saying? Kintaro was a bag of bones when he was only a couple months old, the "mean girls" only said to take him away so he could get nourishment he couldn't get from Genki, they were thinking logically is all. That's what the zoo did with Gentaro for the same reason. They're ANIMALS in a ZOO, none of them will be going to college, and yes Genki does have an eating problem, seems to be psychological, but nonetheless she packs it in. I'm sure soon after she puts the kids to bed and does the dishes she'll hit the treadmill and work on that just because I commented about it. We're tight she won't mind that I said that.........
