踏切遮断機が設置された嵐電「西院踏切」（2024年3月31日　京都市中京区）　"Sain Level Crossing" with a barrier installed 

京福電気鉄道（通称「嵐電」）は、京都市中京区の西院（さい）駅に隣接する軌道敷と四条通の交差部分に踏切遮断機を新設した。2024年3月末に運用を開始した。
踏切遮断機は、過去に車と電車が接触する事故が起きたことがあるため設置された。
Keifuku Electric Railway (commonly known as ``Randen'') has installed a new level crossing barrier at the intersection of Shijo-dori and the track bed adjacent to Saiin Station in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City. Operation began at the end of March 2024.
The level crossing barrier was installed because there have been accidents in the past where cars and trains collided.
