The US exports inflation to the rest of the world. With decoupling, China imports less of that inflation. In addition to the pivot from housing bubble into other more productive sectors it is bound to face an adjustment period with deflation then showing up in the data. This is normal working economics & not the often hyped up hyper-financialization economics touted by Wall Street.
You really don't understand why Singapore allow Us base in Singapore. You said someone ask him why Singapore allow Us base in Singapore. There are something can't speak in international. Do you know where is Singapore located? Top Singapore is Malaysia and very very near and below and left side is Indonesia. Do you known Malaysia and Indonesia internal also had anti Chinese? Malaysia happen once and Indonesia happens twice. Indonesia is the worst one. Do you know Malaysia and Indonesia economy not good as Singapore? Malaysia and Indonesia leaders are there Malay and Indonesia local but Singapore is Chinese and do much much better then them. Singapore location also very good for international trade. Do you think Malaysia and Indonesia want this island? There can said this island is belong to there people's? That's why Singapore everybody Must join military, who do you think Singapore against? Although every Singapore citizens must join army but how to fight with Malaysia and Indonesia army? Not different a bit is more then 50 to 100 times. Compare this 3 countries population and see already know. That's why Singapore allow Us base in Singapore actually to protect Singapore invaded by Malaysia uor Indonesia. Why not ask China? First China last time not strong enough and poor how to protect Singapore? Second is Malaysia and Indonesia also had Chinese and not less also but compare local totally not match at all. Don't tell me he said this things in international? Is will create anti Chinese again in Malaysia and Indonesia, who suffer? You in Hong Kong of course no problems then how about Chinese in Malaysia and Indonesia? Please don't be selfish simply simply said don't know situation in Singapore and surrounding. Respect him please.
I agree that Hong Kong people participating in the state affairs of the People's Republic of China makes sense, but that begs the question: are you willing to take the corresponding responsibilities? It's interesting to see you finally admit that the mainland has far better infrastructure and hardware. On the other hand, what is being asserted here is that Hong Kong is still far ahead of the mainland in all other aspects. I believe Hong Kong possesses some unique properties that the mainland does not and may never have, but I am not sure about others. I once worked in Hong Kong for a few years, and the brightest and best young people I worked with were almost exclusively from the mainland. For starters, I wouldn't have expected that, in general, they speak much better English than Hong Kong locals.
It's a marketing ploy - the media in HK keeps blasting how global, western, asian, and non-Chinese it is to the public, and sure enough, there's a segment, those western educated elites, that gets exposed to foreigners on a daily basis and accustomed themselves on western traits and habits, but suffer the wider public - the average joe's, the store momma's and pappa's, and blue collar workers who bought the propaganda whole scale WITHOUT knowing the underlying meaning, so they somehow just feel themselves different from mainlanders, even superior to them, but not never finding out WHY. They should read about Jane Elliot's brown eye vs. blue eye experiment on children. If only they could reflect on the idiom 喝水思源. It's ok, though - because in time, the human spirit gets it and advances nevertheless. 😊
以下是 RUCHIR SHARMA 在 Financial Times 寫的: "In 2022, China’s share of the world economy shrank a bit. This year it will shrink more significantly, to 17 per cent. That two-year drop of 1.4 per cent is the largest since the 1960s."
Sorry, I don't think he is anti US, but more like anti imperialism and both parties right now controlled by the military industrial complex. So shouldn't directly labeled him as anti US if he is just criticizing the military part.
If you had Yeo's titles, audience would find what you said much more convincing and reasonable. It's disappointing to find Yeo's view to be somewhat lopsided, selective and unrealistic.
