There are other folk metal bands out there look up the following "orphaned Land" (from Isreal), "Finntroll" (finnland), "Eluviete" (Switzerland), and "Ensiferum" (Norway)
What does it mean? I saw some other comment about the meaning of the whole song. If that is correct, does it mean the drummer is the monster looking for friends?
It's actually about a boy who was treated harshly by villagers due to the fact that he is a monster. Later on he befriended a girl that turned out to be sexually assaulted by the villagers. So he destroyed the village with the villagers except for his only friend. That's the summary of the lyrics
This band is a fine example of the right people coming together at the right moment in time and meeting each other and then forming a band and not only standing out each on there own with there own impressive talents but also together as a hole that not only make great music but also waves of passion that light a candle in our hearts at least that’s how I feel when listening to this

in case any english people wanna know the name of the band, it's wagakki-band. (they're really awesome, their cover of senbonzakura is one of my favourites by them)
I used to watch anime so I started to like anime themes and I am started to listen to wagakki almost 2 years ago , since then there is no turning back. Lots of love from india 😁
I remember listening to this song every day when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I really loved this band, and still do. Brings back amazing memories ❤️.
English Lyrics: Once a upon a time and place unknown Lived a boy forgot and left all alone No one knew what he could do or of this fairytale Probably since before the day I was born Call it fate but I was drowned with scorn No one tried to be on my side so I’d turn the other cheek I can’t help my feeling sad Though I guess it ain’t too bad Calling from the setting sun Took my hand and flew away Tell me why Tell me why No one ever tells me why Why they hate me and despise me when I haven’t done a thing In the rain all I feel is this never ending chill But a trillion trillion trillion years had left me freezing cold Can I die? Can I die? I’m just waiting ’til I die Never dreamed a single dream so kind in my entire life No one knew, even cared for this fleeting fairy tail Then it slipped into seething sun and soon it sailed away All this time it bore right down to the core All the pain had torn and left me sore Right behind you had all this time been watching from my side Cannot look or hear or speak to me But you did “Your name, will you tell me it please?” I can’t give and I wish I did But I just don’t have the tongue Crave a home I’ve never had Though I guess it ain’t too bad “Let’s just leave and go back home” Take my hand and fly away Tell me why Tell me why No one ever tells me why Why you think you’re just a kid when you can do so many things On my own never known of this light leading me home But a trillion trillion trillion years had taught me I’m alone “Can I try? Can I try?” “Never know until I try” But they’ll kill you if they see you trying now to save my life In the rain all we feel is this never ending chill But we’ll slip into the seething sun and soon we’ll sail away Day is done now and soon the dawn will break Play ’til we drop so that we’ll never have to wake What if this place was made of only me and you? If just the world and everyone would all go away If just the world and everyone would all go away Tell me why Tell me why A small voice will tell me why No it’s not the voice of you or I but ALL MAN KIND Can’t resist, we’ll be missed That’s a lie but I insist That we’ll slip into the seething sun and soon we’ll sail away Tell me why Tell me why Though you answer to me “why?” What’s your name and where’re we going? But hell that’s the fun of life! In the rain I don’t care just as long as you are there Cuz a trillion trillion trillion years had left me thinking clear Tell me why Tell me dear There’s ringing in my ear Then we slipped into the seething sun and finally sailed away
Dude played a face-melting solo on a flute; something I never thought possible. It seems that folk metal is becoming a worldwide movement. I have been listening to folk metal from Europe, Russia, India, Mongolia, and now here is one from Japan! I look forward to more! 😁
@@YouAni-Me Lol, "Newgrass" and "Americana" are genres combining traditional and modern music. Think bluegrass + shitty indie music. "Nihonicana", then, would be the Japanese equivalent, except more over the top, because Japan.
@Sei Yamato another band that I like that plays some kind of Folk-Rock thing is here: " Villagers of Ioannina City - Jiannim " . Whenever you have the time, take a listen to them. You might like them. Greetings from Greece.

Okay, I don't know why I come back here so often. The music they produce simply amazing, which mixed Japanese culture and Western Instruments and Eastern Instruments, Traditional Clothes and modern digital guitar. (these kinds of stuff are not conflicting with each other but in such a harmony) I got to know this bank from their cover on Senbonzakura. (which makes me think it's even better than the original Miku version) . So much to say even I failed to learn Japanese. muzikashi.... learning a human language simples takes too much energy to me. wish they can keep producing good works though. great appreciation from an ordinary Chinese lonely guy.
im really amazed by how they perfectly synchronized modern and classical instruments together! this like a classic-modern mix masterpiece can someone suggest some more songs like this?
I'm two years late but any song made or covered by Wagakki Band absolutely hits that vibe like here though if you look into more Vocaloid or similar-community stuff Senbonzakura, Bad Apple!!, and the OST for Demon Slayer also have the same energy but if you mean classical and modern in general I highly recommend looking at the OSTs for Fire Emblem games! You can also search up song covers on traditional Japanese (or any Asian culture really) instruments- most of my study playlist are these lol
ข้าพเจ้ามาจากเมืองไทย.......เราชอบคุณอาสะกับคุณยูโกะที่สุด ฟังมาหลายรอบแล้วล่ะ ไหงกลายมาติดวงนี้มาสะแล้ว..... I'm from Thailand.The most of people in thailand like K-POP BUT!!! I like this band 私はタイ人です。私は大好き 和楽器バンド です!!!!! ผิดพลาดคำไหนขออภัย.....
I really love the "inter-generational" sound of this band with so much talent over rare diversity of sonority/instrument as well as the 演歌 type of vocal! On top on that their fashion/visuals are so cool.
@@supermoris194 Pointless asking that question because as far as we're aware, they don't speak Japanese nor know the name of the instrument. All that did was show them you have access to the Japanese keyboard. Not really sure what motivated you to respond with that, especially with the rest of the sentence being written in English. You'd think if you were confident they could read 三味線, then they would also be able to read 三味線のことですか? (I _might_ be rusty or it might just be 三味線ですか? Not really germane to the point I'm making.) As for the OP, it is called a shamisen. You play it with a type of plectrum called a bachi. I won't type them out in Japanese because that will do nothing for you. Were you to search them by copying and pasting, you'd get unreadable results.
