I am a big fan of Floyd Mayweather since I was young, but typical Chinese parents do not allow their kids to do boxing. I am very luck today that I can finally do white collar boxing for charity Boxing is an 1 on 1 game it is like playing chess When you are not focusing you get hurt instantly My strength in boxing is I think a lot when I fight and my weakness is I drink too much champagne My coach told me that I have really good cardio when I don’t drink, I have one second that I wanted to change my coach To everyone here tonight , thank you for coming , I will definitely perform a good show as I always do To my opponent , good luck have fun My name is Derek the almighty dragon cheung , tonight I am gonna 神龍擺尾u 原來打字幕係咁辛苦,做字幕嘅朋友加油
To his analogy with boxing "like playing the Chess game, if you are not focusing, you get hurt instantly". It may sound better as in "Like playing the chess game, if you are not paying attention, you get checkmated instantly"
No, it is not fast at all, but the background noise does distract you a bit. This is way much easier to understand than the native Aussie here, and even my Aussie kids. You just need to be around the English speaking people more, then you would pick up the way they speak over time.
instead of saying ".... i think a lot when i fight..." maybe try saying it like "... id tend to strategize my moves when it comes to fighting in the ring"
my friend whose mother tongue is english told me what the sentence he heard from 5:40-5:45 is 'my coach told me that I agree with my cardio when I dont drink'
“agree with cardio”... this is such a strange expression and it does not make sense at all. And you cannot find such expression in google ! .. come on. My understanding is “ my coach told me that I’ll have great cardio if I don’t drink” , this make so much better sense to me. When you consider the whole context, Derek drinks too much , that’s why his coach uses the the conditional sentence “ if you don’t drink, you will have great cardio” to express a possible situation in the future. When using you strange expression “if you don’t drink, you agree with cardio” , this conditional sentence structure refers to scientific facts or conditions that always have the same result. Again your explanation does not match the context .
And here’s Eason correcting Eason: [2nd paragraph] My understanding is............this MAKES BETTER SENSE to me. [4th paragraph] When using YOUR strange expression...... So please double check on whatever you wrote before posting, especially when you’re commenting on others..No offense, Eason.. Cheers!
My coach told me that I've a way with cardio when I don't drink. Have a way with(idiom): to be able to use sth or deal with sth/someone well and effectively. 覺得似係呢個多啲。
@@TiffanyTeachesEnglish no way, not in this context, come on you are better than that lol ofc you can say “x agrees with me” but look at the way you think he puts it here, “I agree with x”, which is not the same thing and obviously wasn’t his intended meaning
When I first heard "My strength in boxing is I think alot when I fight...", I thought he meant he has been thinking about his strength in boxing alot when he fight. That's why I'm always not confident with English. So difficult to me....
@@TiffanyTeachesEnglish l don't mean Lam English is bad. Comparatively, Chung outshines Lam w.r.t. English. Lam sucks, because of his behaviour, way of speaking,...that enrage me
