This reminds me of the Magus' Bride but the illustration style is reminiscent of Princess Kaguya. It's soft and light, like a sketchbook given life. This style is so spellbinding, it's one of my favorites !

This looks like a children's book. The art style and coloring are good. It isn't too bright which is not painful to the eyes. The colors are well blended that made it pleasant to look at. Good touch WIT!

@@natchann6558 Arcane animation style is nothing like this one. Arcane is a 3D renderized with 2D mostly, except for some scenes, very short ones, that were made by hand on 2D. This trailer is all made on 2D by hand. Frame by frame. This is absolutely gorgeous and requires way a loooot more time. I believe this whole cinematic is made on Harmony and Im just so so in love. 😻 I missed seeing this art style in a full 2D animation!

You say that you finished. But remember that there's going to be a volume 12 that's filled with short side stories like a cut content. So in a way it's not over yet if you think about it. I know it because I finished it the day it was published.

I love it too! Great way to have a relaxing calming and almost nostalgic feel while having really cool dramatic stories. Although it reads less like a young kids book, with hat atelier gives me similar vibes. Though it gets a bit heavier, while TGFTOS always feels light and bubbly

But for the plot: The world has been "cursed" and some people were transformed into those black creatures and are living in one region - they got isolated because if you touch (or get touched by one of) those creatures you will be cursed and turn into one of them -, this little girl come from "the other side", were humans live, but Teacher welcomes her and take good care of her, the story goes by this and the rest you need to read to know. It's a really good story, and the art is the cherry on (top of) the cake.

Seeing this made me feel like Micheal Scott in the office during the fire drill. " Oh my God it's happening, stay calm everyone it's happening oh my God." I got the last volume as soon as it released, and I then finally sat down and finished the whole series last week. Loved the story, had me at tears and in the back of my head I felt like with the end of the manga they would produce an anime. But to think they would release a trailer this soon!! I am just happy that more people will be exposed to this story.

@@claireshefferly6046 To try and put it simply without any spoilers, the story is about a monstrous looking man and a little girl that cannot touch one another, for if they touch, the curse that made the man look like a monster shall spread to the little girl. Despite this, the monster otherwise called "teacher" does his best to care for the little girl. There is some more going on but that's the short explanation. It's not all rainbows and sunshine and does become a bit dark at times, but it plays a good line between showing how dark the world can be and the light and joy these two find in one another's company

The artstyle first stole my heart and it gives me a feeling of nostalgia for some reason, and the plot overall seems so heartwarming. I haven't read the manga yet, since I might wait for the anime to come out first. It feels so perfect!

For the English/international fans trying to look for this movie, I think this movie is in a physical DVD as part of a special edition box set for this manga series. I managed to buy it from a proxy service, but of course, no english subtitles whatsoever. I've tried looking online to watch the movie, but there isn't much there. The limited-edition box set is very pretty though!

Studio Wit is seriously doing such an awesome job at breaking the mould in terms of stylistic choice. With a handful of exceptions, the stylistic choices for animation have been fairly stagnant with the exception of a handful of notable works.. ping pong the animation comes to mind. WIT is seriously climbing the ladder at breakneck pace to be one of the greatest and most innovative animation studios in japan! Truly fantastic.

I was only able to read the first couple of volumes, but I loved the story and the art style was unique and creative. I was hoping this would get an anime adaptation eventually, it certainly deserves it. I got a lot of Somali and the Forest Spirit vibes from this manga and I hope the relationship between the two main leads will be just as wholesome 🥰

The titular Forest Spirit is a nameless and emotionless golem who is created by the forest to protect it for a thousand years. One day he comes across a little human girl in the forest who upon seeing him calls him "dad". Golem then sets out on a quest with the little girl (Somali) to secretly try to find her real parents as unbeknownst to Somali, Golem has already reached the last year of his life and his body is already starting to crumble. Also the golem is voiced by Daisuke Ono! 😍 He's such an amazing voice actor that alone should make the anime worth checking out! It's streaming on Crunchyroll right now.

I was so upset about that... but at the same time I was really anxious that the ending wouldn't end happily for Somali and Golem so I prefer the more ambiguous ending than to have to face the sadness of the most likely outcome 😭. The ending of the anime had me bawling like a little bitch and he didn't even die yet, I would NOT have been able to handle actually watching him die 🤧

I adored this manga back when I had stumbled across it so many years ago. In truth, I had never understood the way people get so wildly excited for anime adaptations until I first saw the teaser trailer a while back and finally understood. The intense joy and excitement of seeing something your so fond of being picked up for a larger audience and put in a new format is huge. I'm so excited for this. Everything looks so nice and the voice acting sounds really fitting too, I'm really looking forward to the release. I'm thinking about re-reading again just to celebrate!

The Girl from The Other Side is one of the best manga I have ever fucking read. The last OVA was beautiful, even without voice acting. This one looks like it will be even better! I love the VA choices! They are exactly how I imagined it. (MAJOR SPOILER WARNING IN COMMENT BELOW)

I'm so excited and happy that they are animating this beautiful manga I cried when I saw the first short animation and I CRIED AGAIN when I heard that they added voices I DIED I been reading since 2015 and I'm glad I did I'm so happy I never really got attached to manga but this manga and Ancient mangus bride those two I'm obsessed with INCREDIBLE ANIMATION AS ALWAYS IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE

I've never heard of this before, but after watching this trailer, I've gained interest. I don't normally feel this emotional while watching something as simple as this but that changed. The music just puts a lot of emotion into it. I'm really looking forward to this series.

@@torancook4662 no one seems to be able to find it online. apparently it has only released as a dvd with no english translation, and it hasn’t been uploaded to any site as far as i’ve seen. i did hear the studio is currently working on and english subtitled release tho, so it’s only a matter of time!

Calling this beautiful would be an understatement because this really is indeed BEAUTIFUL. Like seriously these visuals and animation look gorgeous. Hopefully the story is also great. Wit has produced two of the best animes this year "Vivy Fluorite's Eye's Song " and "Ousama Rankings" so I hope this is like that too next year.

Usually when an animation has this trembling colors style it also has choppy movement. This style of trembling textures with fluent movement seems so unusual and beautiful.

OH MY GOD i started reading this manga in 2018 and immediately added it to my favorites and wished it had more content. It's so amazing seeing it coming to life with voice and colour finally!! The voice acting, animation, everything looks so perfect. Super excited for this!!
