Taichi is always about applying mechanical physics through the human body. People that think it's a trick or magic should read some books first. Given not everyone that learns Taichi can have this level of skills in application, just as in any learned skills personal talent matters as well.
Exactly. I'm pretty sure most of the people claiming such things are fake did not even watch the whole video. It clearly explains with diagram that the receiver shapes himself as a triangle and is a matter of redirecting the vector forces. The "relaxation" and "listening" skills involved to "effortlessly" achieve one's goal, especially when someone is constantly applying various forces from multiple angles, is the real "magic" or the 功夫 in well.. kung fu.
Even his theory of redirect horizontal force and drop to the ground by using triangle transfer works, does the old guy have something magic to protect his skill, protein and bones from being crushed by the force? Also, the big guys can just lift the old guy up so that there is not feet on the ground.
Chan Yi Haw
at roughly 25 minutes in, this is what I interpret: Old guy: you cannot move me Big Guy: if I come at him with a train, maybe this long, and maybe plow right through him... Old guy: you bring your train and push it yourself, you cannot move me Big guy: sh*t.
I can't understand one word. except becareful which old man you try to push around. This guy's face doesn't even show stress. Awesome example of pure power!!
The big guy was mighty strong for sure but the way he moved the small car was no big deal. I did that years ago when I weighed only 130lbs or so. It was all in the legs, I used to walk between 10-20 miles every day, best time was 8 miles in under 90 mins. Couldn't run to save my life though. Back then I had next to no body fat. The way the older guy could plant himself though... It's incredible. I can't explain it!
