Laying hens are only good for the first three years because they all have a limited amount of eggs in them. Eventually you'll have to cull the old hens because they'll just use up your resources. The eggshells need to be saoked in vinegar first before you feed them back to the chickens (vinegar breaks the calcium down into useable available form). You can use a diluted spray on the base of your tomato 🍅 plants .
