Because all the instruments are made of materials from nature! With exception of replacing animal guts/silk string with metal strings when they(metal) became available.
@@eileenchang9044 yes, compare to trombone and French horn, Chinese instruments r most likely to use wood and bamboo, some original material so it's very expensive cuz the workers who produce these instruments need to polish the wood for a ver long time in order to get a smooth surface
I am in love with this music. I am European and three years ago I began to listen and be fascinated by the music of Southeast Asia. I would like to be able to talk about Chinese culture but I don't have the knowledge to comment on this. But the people I know of Chinese origin seem to me to be very noble, honest, hard-working and never superficial and false. Speaking of music, I am surprised by the beautiful melodies made from the soul with musical scales very different from Western harmonies. I am a musician and I have dared to compose a song with the sounds of Chinese instruments (with great respect) and surely due to the lack of knowledge of Oriental culture I have many things to improve and so I will continue working on it. When I'm composing (from the deepest modesty) I feel like I'm moving into a happy world. I want to congratulate this beautiful interpretation that I will listen to over and over again. Congratulations!!!🙏
I'll never forget my first time listening to this. To most people, it is a beautiful song. But to me, it is a lullaby of sorrow, sadness, and pain. It tells me a story. The first time I listened to it, I broke into tears. It is a powerful piece. Heart melting, moving, and calming.
There is sorrow yet beauty in the transition of life (birth to death to rebirth) that is communicated brilliantly through both the ancestral instruments and songs from the Orient.
I simply love Chinese instruments, Chinese Erhu, Chinese Guqin, Chinese GuZheng, Chinese bamboo flute/Chinese dizi, Chinese pipa, Chinese Hulusi, Chinese Yueqin, Chinese Ruan; there are so many beautiful intstrumental and cultural components of China that fascinate me. I absolutely adore their Chinese Hanfu of the Han dynasty and other variations of Hanfu in the following Qin, Ming, Song, Tang, or other dynasties. I also love their QiPao; no wonder why Japan and Korea heavily borrowed from this beauty of China. 🔥🇨🇳🔥
Why all Chinese instruments tell us a sad tale which makes us go like " soo sad " without saying even a word??? Edit :- oh this comment blew up ? thank u for the beautiful replies guys 🖤
I think it has to do with their pentatonic scale. Most of oriental asian music do (i.e. Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and differs slightly with Japanese, Malaysian, Indonesian and Philippines.) I wonder what were the "true" musical style of low land Filipinos. "True" here means when Spaniards are not yet colonizing us.
I just imagined two lovers meeting for the last time while it's raining, never to see each other again until the next life as a pair that can finally reunite for all eternity
I Think the Erhu is my favourite instrument. I mean I love piano and violins, but Erhu's just have an other worldly sound to them. This was absolutely beautifully played,
The erhu is like a pole standing between the heavens and the earth. The two strings connect things. The inner string is like men, calm and strong; the outer string is like women, passion and bright. In the fusion of light and darkness, the song of heaven and earth is performed.
Музыка прекрасна... Давайте сохранять свои традиции и не терять свои корни... Пусть красота,покой и мир будет в каждом сердце... Низкий поклон и уважение...
ERHU is the most expressive musical instrument ever created in the world. At the hands of a good player...it will melt your heart and and bring you to a peaceful dimension you never knew existed. That's the powerful spiritual effect an ERHU has.
It’s like all the secrets of the universe are released into the air and captured by an unsuspecting soul. Beautifully played my dear. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
For some reason, I see an image of the Jiang Clan being rebuilt after the war, with Jiang Cheng mentally remembering this song being played by Jiang Yanli, now lost and forgotton forever with the people that died from the war. #JiangChengDeservedBetter
I sooo agree to this! I could see Jiang Cheng making himself busy with work in the clan, just so that he doesn’t break with all the loss hbeen through. Especially after he lost mostly all of his precious people, his parents, Jiang Yanli, and Wei Ying. #JiangChengDeservedBetter
@@haojiichaa3867 Ikr! It's just him and Jin Ling that was left in the end💔. And people think he's a villain, when he just went through too much trauma. 😒🤦♀️

As a fan of taalpatar shepai and chinese traditional music both,I didn’t expect you to be here! But let me say here...I love your songs!Love from Bangladesh.
I think the Erhu is a good instrument for this piece. The Erhu sounds like water and I think of the Erhu in this piece as flowing water. Anyone else or is that just me
I used to search for every kind of music and songs allover the world. But i don't know why ,everytime i listen to chinese music it takes me to a dream world. Really i love these music very much...love from india
I've seen a street performance of this instrument with my ex girlfriend in Guangzhou. Now she is no more with me but this sound just bring her back everytime
This song describes the scene of rain in the south of the Yangtze River in ancient China. In China, there are many ancient poems about the south of the Yangtze River when it rains, which are very grateful, but most of the time with a little sadness. The theme of these poems is generally separation. The grammar of ancient China is different from that of modern China, which is more elegant and lyrical. Moreover, the poets at that time paid special attention to the accurate use of words or words. If anyone can speak Chinese, they will know that the "碎(broken)" in the name of this song is perfectly used. When I first listened to it, my eyes fell in tears
As you play with the rain today, are you okay? Seems as though you're broken heart, is moved by love you once knew, or had, perhaps that's why you're so sad, but regardless of the time or place you're in, know love will win again, know you must fight through the tide, for one day this will all go away, thus the rain will end and you will smile once again. ~Stand Strong and Lot's of Love ~
now i understand how chinese dramas make me so emotional, the music, the instruments and how they're played is so expressive, i wanna learn all the chinese instruments😅😅😅
I have literally never cried over music before, but this... my first time. My mind was blank and every hair on my body stood like a bristle. The Ehru is an astounding instrument.
Fundamentally, erhus are like that because, unlike violin and cellos, the bow is comparatively loose and gives off a sense of multiple instruments being played.
JiangNan is a famous district where the literati and artists’haunt in ancient China ,you can compare to Tuscany of Italy. and you can find this element in many classic Chinese films
