No, the plan was to make chuchu and Han shuo sleep together and this way force Qianqian divorce Han Shuo and make Chuchu the queen. Han Shuo is supposed to marry the future queen

I guess you don't know how conservative/traditional Chinese culture is about intimacy, EVEN with married couples. Recall, he was flustered when Qian Qian showed her shoulders in an earlier episode.

@@katehu7194 sorry but that’s really stupid. Doesn’t matter how “conservative” the society is, you can’t fight nature. And btw, if ancient traditional Chinese society really is this non intimate as this drama shows or as you suggest, then Chinese people definitely wouldn’t have gotten to be the world’s most populous people. By the 700s the population of Chinese people was already the size of modern UK. Chinese people definitely had lots of sex. ALOT. In fact unlike western aristocracy where they had so few heirs they had to revise the inheritance laws to include females, this was never an issue with ancient China, they always had male heirs Use your brain for goodness sakes!

@@luceafarul579 I should clarify: you must not know how conservative/traditional Chinese dramas are in PORTRAYING intimacy. Being reserved is touted as model behavior. Look around the C-Drama library, the majority of shows keep intimate moments innocent and cute and awkward.

@@katehu7194 I do know. My point is they should change it, as such things are against believability and common sense. A good drama needs those two things to work. Just as they should change the stupid flying KungFu BS, the constant repetition of flashbacks and slow intimate scenes, etc etc. Chinese dramas have improved a lot over the years, but they still need to fix a lot of things in order to remotely catch up with the quality of the west. Lucky for them western dramas have been going downhill due to all the politics involved in the storytelling and characters. But from a technical point of view, they still beat C-drama by a whole mile.

@@luceafarul579 what you want is not for it to improve but to conform to what you are more familiar with. If you want thinsg to go your way, watch western dramas and stop complaining about the norms portrayed in chinese dramas. Take your ethnocentric splutter somewhere.
