Hi Usman, actually there is a machine that separated the rice from the rest or waste, the company is called Kubota if you Google this name you see a variety of sizes and equipment on their website that will do exactly that, I am not sure (I don`t speak Japanese) but I think what they are doing in this video is just cut the rice from the ground and wrap it up in circular bale as you can see then take the hole giant tyre to processing plant I think it`s less waste like this than harvest and separate the rice from the waste (as you called) in the field, hope this answer your question.
