@@gluedonhair The star wars one made me raise an eyebrow when listening to the album while doing other stuff. The whole thing is awesome. I want to hunt for a physical copy later
he was not blackmailing people, but was just how the CIA supplied (and also controlled the supply of) the highest ranks in our society with child s#ggs.
Man, this is so crazy. Before pandemic, I used to listen this album all day long, in my old job, on a administrative office. This music made days sounds like gold. I was dating for the first time my actual girlfriend, having hard times at university and watching everytime the clock to leave the office and go to have beers with my crew. Times changes. The pandemic is a nightmare, but also I leave that job to start working on a local radio station, and I enjoy that job by far. Hope this virus will be defeat soon, and we all be together to enjoy the magic of Takanaka. Greetings from Argentina, sorry for my bad english! Love and peace, people!
Your english is on point my dude. I hope the pandemic ends soon because i’d love to live a normal life again. Hope you are doing well. Greetings from the United States!
I mean if it wasn't for the curious fact he is currently alive he would've surely been rather dead, so with that in mind the sentiment is not off by much.
@@scabbyknee1235 i don't think it's negative, its just the truth actually really funny to do that with a green screen and his hair is perfectly straight and no wind in his clothes funny when you figure it out, and that it's still convincing enough that it takes a while to notice
Not to overshare, but around october-november 2019 I was strongly contemplating s/icide, and I was planning how I'd do it, and while scrolling youtube i found this album. I know it's incredibly cliche right now, but this quite literally saved my life, as it got me to push through another few weeks to the pandemic, where I absolutely thrived, and got out of my depression by cleaning house with all of my newfound spare time, and I'm not entirely sure I would've made it w/o this album. I know others have had and will have it worse than me, but that opening lick to Oh! Tengo Suerte still brings me to tears of joy, as to me it symbolizes new beginnings and happy endings. To anyone else thinking about s/icide, please push on, and please do not go through with it. Almost every day, however much it may suck, I still feel grateful I never did it. Good luck to everyone here. 👋
Hey Scott in the future, this is you at age 33. So long as this upload is here, and you're still coming back here, DO NOT FORGET THIS IS THE VIBE, DO NOT LET OTHERS DISRUPT THE VIBE. ✌️& ❤
saw takanaka-san live just a week ago. one of his final shows in japan, it was almost a farewell in a way. i cried through the whole thing but man he can still rock so hard at 70 years old. best artist ive ever seen live. It was magic. I will forever cherish those 2 hours. Love you Masayoshi Takanaka from the bottom of my heart you changed my life for the better
I put this album on for the first time in Pittsburgh, PA in 2022, and by the end of it I was windsurfing off the coast of São Paulo, and was being interviewed for an article in the June 1976 issue of Playboy.
When this randomly came up in auto-play two years ago, I was in a bad place. I only listened to it once, but it put me in a good mood and the following day I pulled myself back together and got out of that bad situation. The last three days have been some of my worst, and here this album appears once more. I hope, whoever you are and whatever situation your find yourself in, that this also appeared randomly in your recommendations to bring you comfort.
"ALL Of Me(1979)" was not Takanaka's original album, but it’s a compilation album as his first”greatest hits“album released on June 21, 1979. This compilation album picked up popular songs from takanaka's 1st solo album to 4th solo album(1976-1978), and it was his first "early yeares greatest Best hits" album in Japan. Included and picked-up tracks from the following four original albums from his early “Japan Kitty Records” era: First solo album "Seychelles" Released July 1, 1976 (Japan only) Second solo album "TAKANAKA" Released on March 5, 1977 (Japan only) Third solo album "AN INSATIABLE HIGH" Released December 1, 1977 (Japan only) Fourth solo album "Brazilian Skies" Released July 21, 1978 (Japan only) This compilation was released the following year in 1979, before the release of his 5th solo "Jolly Jive" (his biggest hit album in Japan). Unfortunately, the biggest hit songs that defined his popularity in Japan, "Blue Lagoon", was not included in this "ALL Of Me" . Takanaka was different from other jazz guitarists. It might be because of his background. Takanaka was a guitarist originally from the rock field and was not a pure jazz fusion guitarist. Takanaka made his debut with the Rock band ”Fried Egg” and ”Sadistic Mika Band”, and during his time in the "Mika Band"(1972-1975), he also made two albums "Black Ship" (1974) and "Hot Menu" (1975) with "Chris Thomas", the sound supervisor of " Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon (1973)". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mLj7FSJGUrY.html After that Takanaka became more fusion from his first solo album, The "Seychelles"(1976). It was a special career of him and that's what made him unique. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6jgEMQYo8BI.html Oh Tengo Suerte / Sadistics (1976) Live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q_j2Gm-tbHg.html Ready to Fly Long Edit / Sadistics Live Sadistics Masayoshi Takanaka (G), Yukihiro Takahashi (Dr), Tsugutoshi Goto (B), Yu Imai (Key)
Japanaise might be an unethical and unsustainable byproduct of the Japaner meat foodchain... but by god is it good. Also I am told that actually harpoons are very humane nowadays.
it's crazy, I had always enjoyed this video and came back to it often, but I was surprised to see it only had 700k views, because I assumed it had much more. Last time I checked it was a few weeks ago, and now it's at over 900k. It's cool to see this video gaining so much traction even after so much time has passed. hope it keeps blowing up!
i played this album on my father's public transportation jeep and its like summer riding with your father and you got these strangers in the back coming with you and vibing with the song
Thank you, Mr. Takanaka. I am glad he had a resurgence lately because his music always brightens my day. This music inspired me to pick up guitar. I hope some day I will become as masterful as Mr. Takanaka.
Just stumbled upon this yesterday. What a lovely album. Honestly I wasn't looking for anything amazing, I was just trying to find something to play while I do my online classwork this summer and let me tell you, my mood immediately improved. What a perfect album for summer and it makes me a lot less depressed about my summer course work. I don't know how to explain it, but reading these comments here, I feel I really don't need to because everyone here knows exactly what I'm talking about. The music here is gold. It's like actual treasure. Thank you so much for sharing, I know I will appreciate it for years to come.

The Japanese how to make good music. Himiko Kikuchi, this guy. Beautiful stuff. Always lifts me out of a bad mood. Peace and love to all listening to that masterpiece!
Ive been down for a while now and yknow things are looking better now because its summer and nearly every day i walk around in the warm air with this album blarring out my earphones
After all this time and my knowledge of Japanese music culture, I have to say... this is some marvelous shit! Great tune! If anyone from Japan can hear this, pls release this on Spotify for Western Audiences.
I think Takanaka's studio is catching on to his growing popularity here. I hope it's an indication that they plan to do rereleases and that it's not just take downs for it's own sake. I cant find An Insatiable High anymore in its entirety and that makes me a sad panda.
As a Brazilian, I just have to say that I am impressed by how a non-Brazilian managed to synthesize Samba so well without it seeming like something artificial typical of any foreigner who tries to play music. It always sounds a little stuck and artificial but for some reason only Japanese and other Latin people can perfectly reproduce rhythms like Samba and bossa nova without it sounding artificial.
Yeah 🎶 that's because I appreciate music 🎼more and more everyday. Theses could express ourselves much better than words. Brazilian 🇧🇷 and 👽 in Japan 🇯🇵
The vibe as soon as song 1 starts is real rich it’s like a warm surrounding feeling from in the heart and it echoes throughout the whole mind and body this entire album is A1 certified
I have to thank the RU-vid algorithm and the 1200 micrograms I was on for coming together to show me Masayoshi a number of years back. Since that moment he has been a part of my daily routine. Such stellar music. He is like the Santana of secret vibes. Bless you if you are here ♡
Ripped some deem to tengo suerte and my life will now always be significantly better LOL :D One of the great moments of my life which may or may not be saying a lot! What a tune is all I am left with! wow.
I have been following takanaka since the middle 80s when I seen 3 of his laser discs by Pioneer. I could not believe I had never heard of this man in the USA, but he was very big in Japan and as a matter of fact. Pioneer was his biggest Promoter. There's not one song that I don't like, ever written by this creative musician.
I am here from "Hunter: the Parenting", after looking up the songs that played during the episode. Appearently one of them was made specifically as a tribute to this and I gotta say, the positive vibes were worth the visit.
My chihuahua Dachsund mix recently passed awAY AND THIS was his favorite music to skydive over the Ohio islands to - I still put this on sometimes to remember the good times skydiving with my little guy before he impacted the ground at terminal velocity (147 MPH) and popped like a blood filled water balloon! Silly little guy :p
