I have owned Brompton for more than 10 years. You are right about the difficulty in rolling the folded bike on it's 4 rollers. Very difficult to turn. You can overcome this by lifting up the saddle and tilting it towards you. This will lift the front up and roll on 2 rear rollers. This is easier to do with the L type (without rack). Before doing this, you have to strap the wheels to the frame. Otherwise it will unfold because the saddle is lifted up. Brompton is not a good bike to ride. In fact, Birdy ride better. But it beats all other design in term of convenience. I can fold and keep it under my work desk. I ride to work everyday and I'm always worried my bike will be stolen if I lock it outside. Brompton solve all these problems.
Very good review with useful comments which I do not usually hear. Thanks for sharing. Personally I prefer small wheelers that have a more traditional frame shape, such as Dahon Silverhound or Giant Idiom. I also like 451 wheels size over the other smaller ones as it provides more stability.
It’s at Tseung Kwan O. I won’t say it’s friendly to cycle in Hong Kong unless you keep yourself in cycling trails. Urban area are way too much traffic and the drivers do not seems to be nice to cyclists.
Hi everyone, I just got a brand new C-Line Explore for free. 6 speed. Zero mileage so far. I want a lighter version to bring the bike onboard with me and fulfil my bike tour plan. Should I modify the current C-Line to make it lighter? Or should I sell it to fund the P-Line instead? What do you think?
@@threeminhk is modification going to void the warranty? Let’s say I’m going to change a new carbon seat pole, and maybe titanium handlebar. Are these replacements affecting the warranty?
@@franceslee5932 Rotacaster was not able to ship directly to Hong Kong by the time I bought it. I got the wheels by sending them to BuyAndShip Australia (Link in description). I guess you may wish to go to Rotacaster website and see the cost of the shipment and if they can ship directly to your place.
