I love how you try to find a use for every part of the vegetables. That’s the way it should be done and that’s the way all our ancestors regardless where one is from in the world have been doing for centuries. We have become so wasteful in the name of vanity. We all must change before it’s too late!
In my ethnic culture, Minang - West Sumatra/Indonesia, we also eat taro stem and yam. We usually peel the taro stem -all of the green parts until its completely white-, then we squish it under water so the toxin washed out, then we cook it in curry style. Sometimes we cook it with chicken or fish. We call the yam "talas" and the edible yam stem is "kemumu". I just found your channel today, and I really like it ☺. Keep a good work💪
Those kittos tiny feets are everywhere❤❤... I really appreciate how every single thing is being used without waste.. It is so satisfying to watch.. Thank you for the videos
Watching your content is one of my relaxing routine after a tired day. It's so relaxing. Thank you for feeding our stomach, eyes, and mind! And thank you for inspiring us. I'm glad content maker like you are growing faster here in RU-vid, people like us who live in a toxic environment have the chance to calm our soul by simply watching this kind of videos. 🤗 Btw, watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Taro is one of my fav too..! I usually dried them, leaves, stem and taro fruits and took it back with me back in the states. Fresh veggies back home is one I miss a lot. Thank you Ms. Kimi you always inspire me with your videos all the time😍 keep it up and regards to your folks👍🙏
From farm/garden to table. It looks very calming, makes you feel wholesome. The cooking process is also very soothing (it is a healing video to watch, specially during this lock down time). One must not forget though, that it is a hard work everyday to keep all the plants, vegetables and the farm running smoothly. Nevertheless, your video made without distracting music is very commendable! I love it very much!
I envy your videos. The life you live seems so relax and fun. Your farm, the vegetables and fruits you harvest, the food, your videos are totally amazing. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hi Kimi.. I am from Bangladesh.. probably you haven't hear yet😊.. But I love your videos. We also used to eat every part of taro. Taro leaves, taro steam, taro root etc...
just in time :) i missed your vlogs. life was been so busy that after getting things done i spent a day binge watching every videos that i missed 💛 all the best for you and for your crops, always.
I recently tried taro and like it way more than potato. The fact that it smells like popcorn if you bake it in the oven made the child excited to eat it!
Aesthetic, peaceful, healthy and everthing you cook looking so delicious! In Southern Vietnam, people also use taro stem to make a sweet and sour soup with other ingredients like pineapple, tomato, herbs and snakehead fish. I actually didn't know it was called "taro stem" but thanks to you, I know now.
First time to your channel and have subscribed😊but My God I love your planting/harvesting and cooking the products (vegetables and fruits) and you don’t even waste even the roots etc... it’s so inspiring and teaches me so much more not to waste as I’m so passionate about gardening/cooking. Thanks Kimi🙏 🇨🇦
