Everyone seems to have the same idea, but I want to co-sign what others have said. I recently went to South Korea and sat with one of my Korean language exchange friends at a Korean pasta/pizza restaurant that played American soul/r&b music. Jay Park "Joah" came on the radio and we (my Korean friend and I) discussed the situation of Jay Park to Koreans (which was really cool to hear a Korean's (from Korea, living in Korea) perspective. Which, he (my friend) didn't mind Jay Park at all. But, honestly, it is so sad the way Jay is treated there. He is such a talented artist, someone Koreans/Korean Americans should be proud of but they overlook him because of the controversy years ago. Sad, we all say dumb shxt when we think we're in the comforts of our privacy. But, this man deserves so much more, even more for doing it on his own without a major label! There's something really appearing about JP. He does justice to RnB and seems so comfortable in his own skin. As long as he is happy doing what he is doing..that's important. The number of views racked up doesn't indicate how successful the an artist is. There's a lot of not so talented artists and groups that have huge views around the world, not just in K music world.
