True it’s so nostalgic, my mom used to turn on 80 90 US-UK music during my nap time when I was a little kid and there were plenty of Westlife’s songs :D
Omg the moment he sang the first note I had tears already..this brings back memories so much, WESTLIFE are my first love boy band. Just looking at Shane proud face and teary eyes is more satisfying. Eric Nam rendition is just amazing just like the original.
What i really love is that, Eric Nam may not have a powerful and heavy vocal skill, but he has an innocent and sincere voice. He doesn't need a heavy orchestra back ground, his light and clear voice becomes music itself. I could listen to this all day, like even in the morning and in the bed.
It’s a huge coincidence that as soon as I started downloading Westlife music again, Immortal Songs invited Westlife to the show. Eric Nam and Sohyang were amazing.
i know of eric nam but never really listen to his song and when i saw this i was like okay he is a great singer . when he hit a supported G#4 , my jaw literally dropped . it is definitely not a hyperbole it really did omg. thank you eric nam for a wonderful performance
Shane filan still looking so good, handsome..my love is an iconic song of westlife..I hope they can reunite again..thank you eric nam for singing one of my fav song with ur beautiful voice..amazing!
vhope bts7 ikr I was lucky enough to be able to attend their last concert in my country, cause they announced that they'd disband about a month after they held a concert in my country so that was my first and my last westlife concert
I have been watching IS2 since its first ep with the original cast. And over the years, I realised that instead of focusing on the voices and songs, people started to focus on adding more performance elements to stand out and to win. Eric's performance reminds me again about how IS2 started, and that it is still possible to capture the listeners' hearts with a simple and sincere vocal performance without other exaggerated elements.
Finally, someone who shared the same thoughts I did. I binged watched most of the episode when I was off school and I totally agree with your sentiment. Also, I think that Eric's rendition is by far the most awesome performance out of all the others on this episode because he didn't do much and didn't *show off*. He just arranged the song in a way that his own style is mixed with it and not totally redefine it to make a totally new version just like all the others did--some, if not most totally spoiled the whole song because they went overboard with the arrangements and their singing with all the adlibs making the entire performance seem over decorated.. Although he didn't win, I think his was the best because he was able to preserve the original feeling of the song.
omg shane I used to crush on him so much when I was little he was my absolute favorite member of westlife..... and OMG he is even hotter now with all the beard and such.... and he seems to be such a decent guy.. OMG feels are coming back
extra plus ordinary lovesbeingextra shane seems to be growing older backwards because he’s more handsome since before though he’s also handsome back then 😍😅
I was in 2nd grade when the song was released. I remember sneaking just to wait and watch the music video on MTV. Eric, you really did well. 👌👏👏👏 My Love will always be my favorite Westlife song. 😍
I remember going to see Westlife as a child growing up in Northern Ireland and now I find Eric singing The Rose and My Love which are my top two fave songs
actually i don't really know about westlife coz i am 00liner. but when eric oppa sing it, his voice touch my heart. really soft. he improve to all that he isn't only a interviewer. HE IS A GREAT SINGER.
Been a fan of Westlife since I was 5!! And to get to hear Eric Nam sang not one but TWO of their songs is such a wonderful thing!!! And he nailed it and look at Shane's face! He loved his performance!!
THE MAN OF MY CHILDHOOD AND THE MAN OF MY ADULTHOOD. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I SHOULD FEEL. BEEN A WESTLIFER SINCE 2006 AND ERIC NAM LOVER SINCE 2015. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Eric Nam is literally one of the best vocalists ever. Every time he sings it brings me to tears. He can sings high notes perfectly. He is such an amazing singer and deserves the world.
As a big Westlife fan, I normally hate it when people sing their songs because most people ruin them and can never be as good as Westlife themselves (obviously), but this guy did a great job , maybe he could duet with them
me too......growing up listening to Westlife and Backstreet Boys song.......seeing those wrinkles on Shane's face really makes me cry......time has passed so fast......
