In thinking about this, the reason I think it’s so different is the two are companions: ‘Bam Yang Gang’ is the sad, lovesick breakup song & ‘Sugar Rush’ is the rebound “I’m over it, look what you missed and I’m ready to go break hearts” song. Kind of the Revenge Body of tunes 😂 Completely different takes on a sweet/candy theme The more cynical lyrics and tone support this - as well as you see in the video Bibi being stripped of her princess-y candy dress and at first distraught then happy about it. Those interstitial bits plus Soyeon and Yena feasting on her also give it a just a touch of that Bibi dark

The composer n lyric for bang yan gang written by Jang Ki Ha (the male actor in the mv) who is not only famous for his creativity but also IU's ex bf. The storyline relatable to her breakup song in 2017 ending scene..watch the mv ..just saying 😊 n coincidently the release of this mv abt the same timing as IU's comeback...hmmm

Yeah when you were half Way Through the Video and recognized Soyeon just then I was like: Yeah good Morning DG xD (she has been on the other Side of the table the entire Time xD) (G) I-DLE also uploaded a Hashtalk Episode today from this Shoot and it was so sweet to see that Yena & Soyeon got to Talk with each other and get to Know each other more ☺️ also seeing them Talk with each other as BIBI is in the Table was such a funny Scene in that Hashtalk Episode xD and BIBI was happy to shoot with Soyeon again since it has been a while since Bad B**** Number 😊

This is the second time in recent memory it takes you longer than you'd like to recognise Soyeon :D Btw, you actually haven't seen ALL of Yena's title tracks. Very shortly after Good Morning she also came out with a Japanese song called DNA. Yena going full J-Rock!

I would like someone to help me get the change of dresses. She starts with a big dress and as the video goes she finish qith just the white garments. Idk but makes me think like all the "sugary" girl is like something you peel of her. at the end is just a cute girl. Ideas?

I was thinking maybe the idea is that all this stuff about being too sugary is just like a facade and deep down she's just a girl (and the only thing she ever wanted was bam gang yang). I've been trying to look up for theories for this too! Hope anyone else has other point of view!
