*I HAVE CORRECTED MY UNEDUCATED SELF* 2013- 24 hours 2014- full moon 2017- gashina 2018- heroine 2018- siren 2019- noir 2019- lalalay bop after bop. i swear she doesn't have a bad song
*A little information from Korean fan!!! * The actual (right) pronounce 날라리 as nal-la-li (ㄴ sounds N) but it is kind of interesting how sunmi changed it to 랄라리 (ㄹ sounds L) la-la-lay I guess it is because when you pronounce 날라리 fast or casual way in your daily life like talking with your friends, not like news broadcasters, it sounds pretty much the same to 랄라리 la-la-lay (oh and 날라리 means punk!) It is also very interesting for me that her songs' title are always three syllables in Korean like 가시나(ga-si-na=gashina) 사이렌(sa-e ren =siren) 주인공 (ju-in-gong= heroin) 날라리 (nal-la-li= lalalay)보름달(bo-reum-dal =full moon)
보라색설탕에윤기가흘러요 Well she said this about the title of the song ““When I went back to the hotel after the concert, I laid in bed and thought about how Korea is also known for its energy. Then I suddenly thought about the word ‘lalalay,’ which is about knowing when to really let loose. I looked up the word and apparently the Taepyeongso instruments were called ‘lalalay’ in folk music. I thought that that was a good starting point for the song.” She also said her next song would be five characters long
@@nayeonn1e yeah you are right!!! Nal la li is another name of Korean traditional instrument, Taepyeongso's name but it is not that much used or known for majority of Koreans so it is a bit interesting(?) surprising(?) to Koreans also. And I feel really proud of sunmi like u know, she made u to know the existence of taepyeongso and it's another name!!! And I'm gonna thank you for loving sunmi and listening to K pop as a Korean 😊 Have a nice day 😊😊😊
Thanks for explaining! I was also wondering, the word pronounced in korean is na la li, I understand how "na" becomes 라 but why does 리 become "lay"? Phonetically, 리 in english should be "ri" but the title says "lay" instead which translated to korean would be something like "레이".
