26:11 I love how you brought that up. Your actually right, yeonjun who was the first trainee in txt joined the company in 2014, and the last member to join the company was beomgyu in 2016. People can’t say that they knew BTS was going to get as big as they were while they were literally just trainees who just happened to debut in a stressful position. Of course BTS being another group under big hit helped them, however, it also made them more vulnerable to hate/expectations. Also, it’s so crazy to me how yeonjun basically saw BTS grow to be as big as they are, almost since the start. I’m glad they all have a good relationship together 💓💓

Yeonjun and taehyun dynamic is actually so underrated, they've been with each other for the longest time and yeonjun basically raised taehyun, that's his kid and taehyun is the number one yeonjun fan.

The sheer hilarious stress on Yoongis face when he realized poor Yeonjun was plastered makes me cackle. Like “oh no I broke the babies!” Jimin calls TXT “the babies” btw. I adore this episode.

Taehyun and Yeonjun are the members who’ve known each other the longest and were sent to the U.S to train together when Taehyun was in middle school and Yeonjun was in high school so they’re very close like Yeonjun cried when Taehyun was chosen for the debut team. TXT’s friendship dynamics before they were chosen for the debut team are so interesting because there was definitely a clear split. Taehyun and Yeonjun are the extroverts and social members so they had a lot of trainee friends/people that they knew and they might not have even been each other’s best friend despite being close friends with each other. While Soobin and Kai are very shy and introverted (Soobin isn’t shy he’s just introverted while Hyuka isn’t that introverted he’s just shy), so Soobin didn’t care to make a single friend as trainee (i definitely think he hated everyone) until Hyuka joined, then it was the two of them against the world. Like their duo name is “Gums” because they’ve been stuck to each other since. So from their personalities TXT definitely wouldn’t have all been friends in school and weren’t friends as trainees so their group dynamic is so interesting bcs those qualities are still present but it’s what makes the group work. Beomgyu was the final member to become a trainee and he was immediately added to the lineup so they trained together for a full year as a group before they debuted which is when they became very close and the TXT we know and love today. Random fact, but Bighit didn’t have a lot of money so they could afford to send only 1-2 trainees to train in the U.S with their dance teacher, so before the two of them were chosen for their year Jungkook was the person who was sent before them as a trainee.

4:40 for context "surviving the korean charts" is a really big deal for 4th gen boy groups because the Korean gp still hasn't totally clicked with the 4th gen Boy groups unlike the girl groups who are absolutely dominating in Korea. TXT is the only 4th gen boy group so far that has been able to find success both internationally and on the Korean charts.

Actually Yeonjun requested us to not watch this episode because he was so embarrassed and didn't remember a single thing he said during the show lol. He said he opened his eyes and he was on his bed the next day. It was so funny that eventually not only Yoongi but everyone fell so hard for him because drunk Yeonjun is the most adorable thing ever. He just kept saying how grateful he is.

This episode was so adorable and hilarious! And Yoongi wanted to adopt Yeonjun at this point!

24:48 True! Most of TXT were trainees before BTS really blew up or got a Daesang (biggest awards in Korea). So, it is ridiculous to put blame / take away the achievements of TXT because its not like as trainees they knew BTS would become the force that it became.

the dynamic between yeonjun and taehyun...people would say theyre underrated but imo theyre not, its just we all already know the two of them are the longest together, so its like...its just there... we just feel it without much words, idk how to explain it but if the reason some people called them "underrated" just bc not many people talking about them tgt, then sure...but to me personally people not rlly talking about them bc they know them and just understand taehyun and yeonjun relationship, so they dont feel underrated to me. Also these two are the CATS of the group lol, both of them have a duo nickname called "nyangnyangz" or "meowmeowz", the other members often called them cats instead of their name lmfao, especially soobin, he always refer yeonjun and taehyun as cats. one time he called taehyun and yeonjun as "two cats" when theyre talking about the members who got sick, he said "after the two cats got sick, then the three of us got sick (soob, kai, beomgyu) 😭😂😂

In theory you can't have part time Jobs when you start unders company. But Yoongi had part time job as trainee but you have to get permission, he first hide them but later he got permission, but he had to let go of them affter his accident, and they also started to have more full calender, do he needed to focus only on this. Actually most BTS did jobs at the side as backup dancers before debuted and after too... You can find info and clips mostly it was Jhope, Jimin and Suga. JK was too young, RM and Jin didn't dance yet good to be in this kind of job they were still learning and V was hidden member, but later he did some jobs too. I remember watching clips when they danced at the fashion show and it was job and not promotion for band (in a way still is but in context of normal promoting).... And with allowance it was still very little money, bc company didn't had much, Suga worked and part of this was going for food for the members, bc he feld bad and bc he was one of oldest he feld the need to be the person to help, Jin also add a lot to budget but he got money and things from his house, parents, and he cooked a lot, he also drive members instant menagers or drivers, so it would be easier.

Of course Yoongi cares, but he do it quietly but if he takes you under his wing he will takecare of you, he is actually one of most social member of BTS, most people think that bc he is more quiet or introvert he isn't social but he is, also he knows a lot of people. I remember Lee Hyun (solo artist under BigHit, senior to BTS) saying that Yoongi is a friend that shows up at your house at 2pm bc it is closer for him and he is too sleepy to go home and lay down and sleep. He said he gave his code door to him bc he didn't want to wake up to open door....

Txt is only kpop group (beside bts) that i have more than one song in playlist. They never seemed like "following bts" they have unique style, and their songs and melodies are really nice and positively different from other 4 gen boy groups. Their music really "light", how do i explain it, it has this airy, feel to it, refreshing feel to it. They are also great performers and it is apparent that they love music they perform cause they also make it

I respectfully disagree with you about the older you are the harder it is to live with others during the trainee period. Only reason I say this is because when you are older you are slightly more mature and it is around that age that a lot of people go to college and have roommates or move into apartments with roommates or get significant others and move in together. So the older you are, that’s when we expect to live with strangers. The younger you are, you would struggle more in my opinion because you aren’t expecting to live with strangers at that age.

(I can't resist Yoongi's melting for Yeonjun - well, I can't resist Yoongi, period) I don't know much about TXT members, but I really like their music. Checking them will not disappoint you for sure. Predebut was especially difficult for BTS because the company Big Hit was on the edge of bankruptcy so could not provide for them. Yoongi secretly got a job as a delivery boy, had an accident (car hit his scooter) which messed up his shoulder. He couldn’t tell the company for fear of being cut so did not see a doctor. The company later found out but he didn’t have surgery on it until the pandemic, instead getting cortisone shots before performances. TXT was the only other group (besides a senior solo singer) who experienced these hardships. Hybe’s newer groups (Enhyphen, New Jeans) came along when Hybe was huge and wealthy. Artists who debuted with the Big 3 companies never had to experience that, plus these companies had the clout and wealth to promote them (and to pay the Press and music shows to keep BTS down. They still do this today, but Hybe has more [but not equal] clout.)

At a certain point, when you get into TXT, you forget they have any relationship with BTS. They re pretty different

Yes, BTS also had 3 concerts without people, and TxT did one too. TxT debuted in 2019 and covid started in Europe in april 2020, BTS had last official promotion Febuary of 2020 with album MOTS7, and they had to stop, and TXT first comebeck was in pandemic...
