It’s a shame because all of their songs are amazing and there’s nothing wrong with a sexy concept but it’s that fact that they’re being forced into this stuff, it’s not okay
@@fromis.9 they weren't even getting paid because the company took all of their money. Stellar probably would've had A TON of money, especially during Marionette and Vibrato, if the company gave them their money and respected them. Also, you equating being in debt to being mentally and emotionally abused into doing sexy concepts is dumb, get better.
@@honeybear8662 training is free. Food is free. Transport is free. Lodging is free. Makeup artist is free. Clothes is free. Album and MV production is free. Everything is free and the company did not pay any single cents. And you are living in that imaginary world. In the first place, don't choose a poor company if you want to be an idol. Because they are not rich, and unable to pay you your monthly salary. The company will clear their debt first before paying out to workers. P.s. I believe they got allowance
@@fromis.9 if you saw videos of the members THEMSELVES, you would know that 1. They were forced in sexy concepts 2. Were threatened to be sued by the company if they tried to leave (if the company was supposedly poor, like you said, they wouldn't try to bring up money against the members) 3. Were only paid a very small amount of money despite being in a group for YEARS. Don't say you "believe" they had an allowance if they weren't even being paid properly.
@@fromis.9 Also, you saying that the training, makeup, food, etc. was free, it really isn't. many companies say that they spend a lot of money with trying to debut a group.
I hope Stellar members know, all along fans loved their beautiful strong voices and unique sound :( and we didn't just follow them for the sexy concept they were forced to do. When you listen to Stellar songs without watching the video, you will be amazed by their strong vocals. They literally were stellar in that department ...
VL (YBlvr) smh true 🙄 I was right there when this first released and definitely stayed as one of the best songs of the year even till December, people definitely slept on them though ;~:
Their early stuff kind of sucked but Marionette, Mask, Vibrato and Sting remain GOD tier K-pop tracks and I can't believe knetz and I fans alike paid them dust
Koreans don't like Stellar because of to many songs related to sexuals things ... hmm at first I was like this too but It's not the girls fault! Actually they do only what the company order them to do ! And they have potential :) I fully support them now :) If they keep do MV like this and Cry I think Koreans fans will like a lot more Stellar !! They deserve more love :)
@@fromis.9 don’t know what any of that has to do with my comment cause unfortunately I found out about them a couple months before the disbanded but go off
@@fromis.9 promotions and company deal with getting the group out there for people to discover them you don’t wake up one day and think “oh there’s a group named stellar let me look them up” you literally have to find them that’s the industries work not people who find them late ur snappy af for what
@@dianaalvarez7768 the group promotion is good. I was fully aware of their comebacks for Marionette. And the trend/talk about it was pretty big. If you a casual kpop fan, you should know about them. Unless you purposely ignore them, then cry over a spilled milk (literally) 😂
i cannot stress this enough.. this is one of, if not THE BEST, kpop songs ever. i love the visuals, the sound, the girls. if only things could have been different for them.
Why is showing skin sexual? I can see somebody naked and not have sexual thoughts. And btw the work in colour and framing in this video is just perfect.
@@ndr_32 showing just skin itself is not sexual. but they were forced to put barely anything on and sexualize themselves (showing thighs, these mouse arrows, slaping, dancing, etc. -> is represented in a very sexual way) because that was the only way for their company to get attention money.
Just knowing there are people out there who LOVE their music is recognition enough I'm sure. This is my favourite K-pop song by any girl group I've ever heard. They might not hear me say it, but I'm sure they know the quality of music they put out. :) The groove blew my mind the first time I heard it. I'm a drummer so I catch on to certain beats very hard, and needless to say this song is an absolute RAGER to play on a kit. :D
@@TheOriginalUberfetusunfortunately, one-off recognition and exposure don't pay the bills or substitute for nationwide success. They were never able to reach the chartings that other groups were and as a result they were not having an easy time at all during their run. Also if you're curious this song was produced and written by GDLO who also did most of the group's other songs too.
It's like you're staring at the members in the point of view of a creeper/stalker, hiding behind doors and peeking at them while they don't notice you (but they noticed near the end of the video) especially the girl with the mirror, I think that was symbolizing a lot of washroom/hotel mirrors in south korea has hidden cameras installed inside to spycam on girls.
I know this comment is old but I always wondered what it meant when MinHee looked in the mirror. I thought it was about not recognizing yourself or something lol, that’s really interesting but also creepy
I just love how their comeback was made possible via crowdfunding. How lovely is the fact that people love them enough to donate money to them so that they can continue making music? It's basically a way of saying "we love you, and we wanna see more of your work", I'm so touched by this.
I’ve been listening to KPOP now for 10 years and Stellar was the only group I’ve ever fully invested myself into, “stunned”, bought albums, whole nine yards. They deserved so much more success than they received and not the negative outbreak around their concept...
I really like the lyrics to the song. It tells the story of a breakup where the two people are drifting apart and love is being replaced with anger and hurt, and wanting to hurt the other. It's actually a very painful song, wrapped in sweet wrapping. The song is done well.
This song honestly changed my life. Starting with Stellar, I started stanning girl groups and realizing the difficulties female idols faced in kpop. I've come to love girl groups so much because of this song, and I will never stop loving Stellar!
Destinee Desires do you have an issue with sexy girl group concepts or something? why are you here commenting on my post about how much I love this song? go somewhere else???
@@MetalthinkerYT I can't believe you came to this mv in the year 2021 to start stuff lmao. I'm saying that recognizing that girl groups are not only facing the sexism that most women around the world in developed countries are used to but dealing with being in the public eye where people are judging every single thing you do and you're constantly be calling inappropriate, a whore, a slut, etc. just for existing while also being held rigidly to an unrealistic beauty standard of super thin, long hair, very pale. The fact that girl group idols continue to perform because they enjoy performing in spite of this is a sign of strength and perseverance in a society that would like to just write them off. I'm obviously not saying these standards or perceptions are okay but I have a lot of respect for people doing things they love despite all the challenges they have faced, are facing, and will continue to face. Stellar will forever be one of my all time favorite girl groups. Try again somewhere else buddy lmao
If this song was done by Sistar it would be number one for 6 months. -_- I hope Stellar knows they have A LOT of international fans. If only they all purchased their music.
Actually SISTAR only recently got popular. They have been hated on for ages and I've seen comments about them on so many kpop videos calling them sluts for doing sexy concepts. Only since last year did the hate die down
+Lily Tron me too. Hyorin is my UB in kpop. Although shake it and touch my body were great, another dark/sultry concept like alone would be better. When a concept is done too many times it starts to get a little bit boring
HourlySum Meee🙋🤗 We can raise their views by streaming in 720p and the volume should be above 50% (this actually matters you can also plug your earphones if you cannot hear it loudly) and clear your Watch history at every 9/10 play! #Twinkles4Stellar 🙋🌟👍
I NEED A DANCE VERSION ASAP! On first impression: it's a nice, feel good song. I can see it being catchy as I listen to it more. IMAGERY: As always, Stellar's MVs include imagery that relates back to their infamy and/or Marionette. A love song at first glance, but the words were chosen specifically. Sting was represented here through the clicks and tacs. This relates to how they took the internet by storm with their outrageous concepts and how they received a lot of attention. (an allusion to Fool). Also, the mirrors play an important symbol here. In Vibrato, the girls experienced a mirror scene which described their own horror and fascination of what they became: simply marionettes controlled in a box (the industry). Now when they see their reflection, it's more of an acceptance: the mirror is smaller, making them feel less trapped and they now have more freedom. Due to the attention Vibrato has given them, they now have more freedom to pursue concepts they're more comfortable with. Also, there are Sleeping Beauty allusions here-- the cactus being the spindle and them reaching to touch the cactus is similar to how Sleeping Beauty touched the spindle in a trance. The blank expressions Gayoung gave made the trance, Jeonyul had the age of Sleeping Beauty, Hyoeun had the status of her and Minhee reached out to the campus (this part may need editing and more rewatching). The dance of what we saw shows them grabbing their shirts, almost as if they're in agony. This represents both the agony of falling in love and the feeling of guilt they received after the hatestorm that was brewed up after their releases.
so i discovered stellar about 2 weeks ago. the first song i listened to was ringtone, and it was so amazing! i recently read an article that although they don't enjoy this sexy concept, it's the only way they are generating sales. they've said it themselves! please, do not hate them because of this concept - it's the only way they're surviving. just give them love and support, share stellar with your friends and family. we need to help these girls survive and thrive. they've been a girl group for 4 YEARS. they don't deserve to flop and do concepts they don't feel comfortable with, if it's the only way they can be successful.
Christina Stabo That article was in their Marionette era, they really enjoy Sting concept, just look at their smiley faces in live stages (Sorry i don't speak english)
It's was when they realesed "Marionette" (one of the best kpop songs ever), they didn't like the concept, but they gained fame and money. But it's an awesome song!!
Easily one of Stellar's best releases to date. Just shows that Stellar can do it all and still make release damn good music. They have their own unique sound and always have a unique way of showing their concepts, but It's sad that they've been branded as only a racy group when clearly they have so much more to offer. Hope Stellar keeps this up. In no time their fanbase will most definitely grow because their music is just too good to pass up.
@@mianico04 yeah they were. The company wanted money and their debut wasn't successful so they started to do sexy theme. At some point they wanted to stop but the company forced them. I might be wrong but for more information you can just look up on RU-vid "the worst company of Kpop" and you can found a video about their company
The whole album this is on is fantastic. But the artbook is oversized and "sexy"....but every picture is like this MV, and you can see the discomfort on their faces in a lot of pictures. It's actually difficult to look through. It's forced irony, too, because the video seems to be against voyeurism and such but it was solely so they could actually do that.
@@captainultraswagga Not necessarily. First of all, of course they're people. They don't just exist out of pure image, that's ridiculous. What the public sees versus what they are like in person can, of course, be radically different. And many trainees begin when their age is barely in the double digits--all they're aware of is the glamorous appearance of the industry and they may not even be able yet to literally comprehend its underside. It'll be years before they're even assigned a group, if they are at all, and even then, concepts can change from one release to the next, at their label's whim. People like you are part of the problem. Nice insult, btw.
Does anyone else think the MV is a the girl's way of fighting back against the public for hating on them being sexy/ their company forcing them to be sexy? Like they clearly don't like the mouse clicks, the ladybugs (the male gaze). Also the girl being photographed is purposely not showing her face only the "desirable" parts of her body? Idk the song's really good and the MV is thought provoking
I think you got it partly right. In part, they're protesting against the haters, some of whom have been down on them since before they started doing sexy concepts. These days the haters (or "netizens") use the sexy concepts as their main pretext for attacking them, so that is what the mouse click pointers are about. However, I think you are failing to grasp that the members are comfortable with their sexuality. They are well aware that when women dress and act in certain ways, male attention is to be expected, and is not completely unwelcome. I don't think they have any problem with doing sexy concepts, they just don't see why they should have to endure vicious attacks as a result. Which seems completely reasonable to me. Also, there are some women who like to show off, if they have something to show. Don't automatically assume they are just victims.
omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/20863955.html#comments#comments there's no "empowering" message here to be found, they're just being exploited by their company
7 years already?? time flies! i vividly remember watching the choreo. ver. of this song for the first time and immediately falling in love with the song. love stellar!!!
Guys we need to support them for their upcoming comeback!! I you can participate to the found (even just a little) please do it!! If you can't then be ready to support them, stream their mv and buy the upcoming album!! Please guys we can't let them disband!!
+Gabriel Garduno omg thank you I kept coming back to check. I can't wait I'm gonna stream like there's no tomorrow I can't let this gorgeous and beautiful girl group die!! I love them so much!!!
I think this mv is telling about their previous concepts. After Marionette people searched them a lot so the arrows are representing all the search/article clicks that they got. In the beginning one of the members is cornered by these clicks and doesn't look comfortable because the overly sexy concept is not what they wanted to do. One other member is being photographed in sexy poses because doing that gives them all those clicks. They are using mirrors a lot and in some of the scenes they are looking at themselves as if asking "am I sexy enough this time too?". Another way that they are using the mirrors is to look behind themselves because there is always someone watching them (their bodies especially). The bug is a metaphor for the attention they are getting. There is always someone on their back (and thighs) or front watching them, telling them something nasty and they can't seem to shake it off. They also step on a rose and touch a cactus and that tells that whatever they do, they'll still get "stings" from the public. In the end they just have to keep their head up high and get used to it, do it because that's the only way they'll make money right now. They start to look in the mirrors more and walk on the runway looking like they like the attention, they need to keep the act up. The man in the painting might be their boss who is watching that they do what they are told to do. That's how I see the mv, I might be wrong though. I love the song and wish all the success to Stellar :D
This is seriously another level from usual kpop! They have so much to give yet no one notices them, why?! I'm so addicted with the "whistle" thingy in the chorus omg I want a fandom name AND their first win!

+Christian Tuazon may I clear some things up? it was NOT a hate comment, sweetheart. it was more like a massive deep imagination from their pass songs. I recommend you to read a few more times so you could digest the while thing.
+Stellar Twinkles hey, are you going to translate the lyrics somewhere??? not repost the video for sure but i really want to know what they're saying!!! thanks
Being a fan since Marionette, it kinda makes me a bit upset to see everyone finally jumping on the Stellar train. So much people bashed them because of how openly sexy they are. Their music has always been good lol, but I guess it's better late than never. I mean 13k likes in 3 days, it's about time, Stellar! I'm happy for you girls~
+SHINeeGenerationPM the fact that Marionette has over 60k likes shows how many people supported them no one has been jumping to the Stellar Train the same fans that have been following them from marionette or before still and will always check them out its more like The Haters decreased yeah they still get a good amount of hate but after all the controversial videos they came out with what do you expect?
What is important is to support Stellar, they have been trough a lot, and are maybe one of the most controversial kpop groups. If they disbanded it would be really sad, because even if you dont like their MV's, they release top tier songs :)
i hope people also start to realise how great stellar's vocals are, none of them sound weak or unsure vocally, they all sing perfectly with the feel of the song and just have great voices all around, especially hyoeun
+nickieliscp Your right, Stellar does have very strong vocals and should be recognized for it, but there is a slew of horny fanboys that associate skin with talent. Look at "Fool"...didn't do that well in between "Marionnette" and "Vibrato", because they didn't come across as sexy. Die Hard Stellar fans liked the song, but the groups gets a ton more hits when they show skin...which is a shame because they are very talented vocally
yes fool didn't get alot of attention despite being a great song! but on the subject of showing skin, i find it kind of refreshing to see a group be overtly sexy, it's different and something new in the kpop world. paired with their amazing songs stellar is really a forward thinking and different group and that's why i love them
nickieliscp They do have really good songs, unfortunately this one doesn't have the "umph" the others did for me. As far as sexy, it is not new in KPOP...Sistar has done it for years with great songs...and lately Exid has done it also. Even groups like Besties and Flashe are going a little more risqué, so I wouldn't say Stellar is introducing something new...just using it to their advantage.
nickieliscp I don't know...reading up on their interview and it kind of sounded like their company pushed them into the sexiness after "Fool" didn't do well....they wanted them to dance in thongs. Stellar pushed back and ended up agreeing to dance in what they did,. It worked out for them popularity wise, but I really don't think it was the direction the girls really wanted to go in. They cut it back a bit in this video, but still keep the sex kitten image, In "Vibrato" it was all about selling their bodies, and its to bad in my opinion, because it was a fantastic song, that seems to have been forgotten by some.
Y’all THEY WERE CONFORTABLE HERE! I think this was the era most Twinkles and Stellar members were anticipating ah... i wanna go back and promote them a little more... just a little more so they could get their first win...
I feel the same way! (I've always thought this) I feel like all of 9muses songs could be played at a fashion show while the models strut down the cat walk, and I feel the same about this song Cx it's just the type idk lol
watch this song flop, they'll do another risqué sexy video and people will come running to hate on them saying that "their vocals are sooooo good why do they have to do such erotic videossss" 😒 I almost love this song more than mask... which is saying a lot. I want a dance version. I also want Stellar to win awards on this shit because it's really good. really good
reyanime I saw it, but I was hoping for an actual dance version because I liked the outfits they were wearing here. Also the colors in the MV are very good
Samantha Bonilla Oh ok. I prefer the dance practices over dance versions. You can usually see the members better and I like the fact that they tend to wear more casual clothes.
I notice the since marionette because the song is good and after every comeback they manage to continue produce masterpiece 😍😍😍 who produce their songs?
+Wu Lan these guys! facebook.com/monotreemusic/ they did study, marionette, and mask while under sweetune, then formed monotree before they did vibrato and now sting. (to be clear, it's not the exact same producers on each song)
This song is kinda good. I think it's kinda underrated song because their sexy concept in Korea. I think if they make too sexy MV in America, they get more popular, but in Korea, if they make sexy MV, their popular get decrease. I wish all song get evaluation as only song.
actually there's a lot of popular girl groups in korea that have sexy concepts like AOA for example its just the lack of promotion and also I think the lack of variety shows too is a factor because if they were on variety shows like weekly idol or asc or running man etc they might have gotten some recognition from that
I really don't care when a lot of peoples say that Stellar it's too sexy.. because they're very talented. I really hope that one day, peoples understand and stop with bad speaks ! Stellar deserved To be famous. ♡
