The main theory that everyone says is: You see Minnie dragged out of heaven into purgatory which is the white room Soyeon is also in purgatory but it seems like she chose the leave heaven. You then see Minnie open up these curtains where she sees Yuqi in heaven. Yuqi is falling into sinning and darkness. She is admiring Miyeon and it is implied she is in love. When it’s yuqis verse she is questioning herself and at the end her makeup is darker like you see reds so she has accepted she has sinned. ( as a Catholic we drink Jesus’s blood and Body which is bread and wine we do this in mass do be one with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) Yuqi drops a cup with blood which means she is done faking it. So yuqi is next to leave heaven. Miyeon is the god that is why she can’t sin nor is fazed by anything. Soojin is the devil or a demon, in one scene she is holding an apple(Adams apple) the first/original sin and it is known Demons and Lucifer are attractiveness seduce mortals etc so Soojin was whispering to Shuhua and about to kiss her but then it was Soyeon. Shuhua is an angel that was going to be corrupted by Soojin with lust. But since Soyeon took Shuhuas place she is now in hell so as Minnie in the mud scene. Minnie is in hell because she killed herself she made a gun with her hands in one scene and suicide is the biggest sin after murder. Also Minnie throughout the whole mv was “sloth” like. She accepted her future and let the darkness take over her and that’s why her hands turn black. She is laying on the floor and mud shamelessly . Edit: I’ve been reading other theories and I also agree with them so I’m going to write it When Soojin whispers to Shuhua we see “Ab Imo Pectore” on the screen this is Latin and it means “from the bottom of my heart” Soojin was trying to pretend that she truly loved Shuhua but Soyeon over heard and got jealous so that is why Soyeon took her place.They were also in the same bar wire setting And we also know Yuqi is going to leave heaven next because we see shots of her falling (beautiful shots just saying) According to Dante’s 9 circles of hell if you comit Violence you will drown in blood. We see Minnie covered in blood at the end According to Dante’s 9 circles of hell if you comit fraud your punishment is to be poured with excrement(human/body waste) We see Soyeon in mud like substance.

The Characters SOYEON: LILITH SOOJIN: THE DEVIL MINNIE: EVE MIYEON: GOD SHUHUA AND YUQI: FALLEN ANGELS Theory: Soojin is the Devil. Her makeup, costume, and platform where she sits depicts her as a dark and eerie being. She was seen holding an apple, where in the bible, the Devil used it to tempt Eve. In a way, the chorus, was like a song to her. It depicted her ways of temptation. The scene where petals are falling and people are "suffering" around her is the most accurate depiction of Hell in the video. Soyeon is Lilith, as she was portrayed in scenes in Hell and she was close and praising the Devil (Soojin). Minnie (Eve) was being dragged in the beginning like she was being thrown in to the asylum-like white set which symbolizes the wastelands outside the Garden of Eden. Soyeon (Lilith) was also seen here, suffering the same fate after she refuses to obey Adam. The clothes she is wearing will gradually change, from being clean to being tainted or "corrupted" in the end, symbolizing the temptation of Soojin. Also she was seen in the mud, or Hell. The people dancing around Minnie symbolizes that temptation. Miyeon is God. The platform she was sitting on was surrounded by clouds and lights, and her face was full of sparkling diamond make up to make her appear divine. You can also see how her platform was higher than Soojin, meaning she sits in a higher position than the Devil. Yuqi and Shuhua are angels that served Miyeon, however, they were tempted and fell in love with Soojin, as you can see in Yuqi falling in to the void and Shuhua turning into Soyeon (Lilith). G-IDLE most versatile k-pop group💕

Actually Soojin is the temptation (she is also the one holding the apple) the person seducing them. So she is portrayed as a sexy "evil goddess" and MINNIE and SOYEON like the fallen angels (You can see at the beginning they are both in a white room) who are seduced by her to the point they go insane and if you compare Minnie's look at the end vs the beginning you can see she has fully ben seduced and Soyeon is in "hell" but although she is in pain and trapped she is in pleasure (you can see her moving as is she is happy in the red mud) yuqi represent the more innocent side that is seduced, you can see her walking and looking to the other side the hallway and it cuts to scenes of soojin, as if yuqi is curious and slowly tempted. Like PD said in a video it's like the Wolf vs the innocent red riding hood. Just like how Yuqi's make up starts to change and become darker, she is falling. As of Shuhua she is portrayed as a white godess... however she also appears between the same bared wires as soyeon as if she ia also trapped and so goes for everyone elae. So basically no one is free of sin or temtation. You can also see by Soojin's lyrics that she is calling for them to go to her. The whisper part Soojin goes to them as if seducing them and says "AB IMO PECTORE" which is latin for "From the Bottom of my heart" or "With deepest affection" so it's like she is telling them that everything she us doing is from the bottom of her heart and with passion. Right before that part you also see Soyeon reaching towards her as if she has totally given in and every cut of a woman flying as if a dark goddess or smth, you can't see her face but basing it on soojin's scene setup and out fit it is clearly her and everyone else is praising her like a god. I am sure you noticed the Video is sort of unsettling or "creepy" as many described it. I like to call it "sinful" because while watching it you feel as if you are watching something somewhat inappropriate. As if it quite deducting and it is just dark but it is visually satisfying. And the girls, especially soyeon seem to have comited a sin by falling into the seduction but she doesn't care and feels pleasure and satisfied. As she also says "it doesn't matter, i'll pay the pain" and licks the bared wire.

This song reminds me of Hann with a bit whispering , a bit of Senõrita upbeat part during the pre chorus and lastly added Lion's verse structure which is the "Oh my god " part when you listen closely you can hear the "bah bah bah" which was on Lion.

Here's my theory (not mine but saw this a while ago): Soojin: The main demon in the song. Also, in the video Soojin holds a white apple , that symbolizes the Adam's apple as a temptation. She tries to tempt everyone in darkness using lust. Lust also one of the Dante's nine circles of hell,in circle number two, where there are strong winds. In the video, there are red objects that are floating around her, and might have blown by the strong winds around Soojin. And she was inlove with Shuhua, who is a pure deity. Minnie: Represents self-murder. She was slowly corrupted by darkness. Then she was dragged into the white room, which is the purgatory, where Soyeon is also situated. She tries to fight darkness to overcome her, that's why her nose bleeds. Until she can't take it anymore and kills herself, as you can see in her part in the second chorus where she shots herself with a gun. And according to Dante's 9 circles of hell, at circle seven, which is violence, their punishment is drowning theirselves in blood, which is also in the first part and the last part of the MV where Minnie was poured and coated with blood. And there was also a shot, whereas a transparent wine glass was pour with red wine, that looks like Minnie was inside and being drowned with blood. Soyeon: Represents fraud. She accepted her fate of being dark, because of Soojin. She was inlove with Soojin, but Soojin loves Shuhua. After Shuhua's bridge, where Soojin is whispering to Shuhua, then Shuhua suddenly changed into Soyeon. Where Soyeon pretends to be Shuhua. And also in Shuhua's part, she was on the same setting with Soyeon, in the barbed wires, shows that Shuhua in the barbed wires was actually Soyeon. According to the Dante's 9 circles of hell, at circle eight, which is fraud, their punishment was being poured with excrement (human/animal wastes), which is also in the last chorus where Soyeon was in a pool of a mud-like substance. Yuqi: A disciple of Shuhua and Miyeon. She was a loyal disciple of the two, but then she was attracted to Soojin. She peeks into Soojin and turned herself into confusion. There is also a cup of wine, it connotes purity. Accoring to the biblical reference, drinking a cup of wine can link you to a holy figure, and it was Miyeon, but it was too late. In Yuqi's second verse, her tears became blood, which means that she had commited sin . When Miyeon knew about it, she banished Yuqi, where she falls, leading to end her life, maybe? Miyeon: Deity of pureness or a symbolism of a god. She knows all, and she is above everyone. She punishes everyone that commit sin. Miyeon is in tears, because of despair that she cannot prevent everyone from darkness. Shuhua: Another deity of pureness. She was inlove with Soojin, which is a demon. Despite of their differences she's still deeply inlove with her, so as Soojin. There's also a part where Soojin whispered "Ab Imo Pectore" in Shuhua's ears, which means "From the bottom of my heart" or sincere love. That's why Soyeon was envious on her. Minnie, Soyeon and Yuqi are angels but then sinned and corrupted by darkness. Shuhua a pure deity, and Soojin, the demon, fell inlove with each other, that caused envy to Soyeon. And Miyeon was above all, but failed to prevent her people to fall into darkness. I also think that their line distribution is associated with the level of their sin; darkness takes over :(from the greatest to lowest form of sin they committed) Soyeon (Fraud) Minnie (Violence) Soojin (Lust) Shuhua Yuqi Miyeon (Purely goodness)
