2017.7.6 RODKWOOD MUSIC HALL 웅산(WOONGSAN)[雄山] -Summertime - VOCAL - WOONGSAN GUITAR - JIRO YOSHIDA BASS - CARL CARTER DRUMS - STEVE WILLIAMS PIANO - JAMSHIED SHARIFI
Great performance. She is the first Korean-born musician to perform at New York City's historic Blue Note Jazz Club and has collaborated with many other well-known jazz musicians including Benny Green, Lonnie Plaxico, Rodney Green, Conrad Herwig and Suzuki Hisatsugu. She is also well known for training Ali (South Korean singer), a popular K-pop singer.
Wonderful! Every time I listen, I feel great, alive, happy and energized to dance to the rhythm. Woongsan and the band is so great. Thank you again. Love you all.
What a joy to listen to Woongsan as Summer is ahead! I turned it high and the contrasts in her singing came alive and the musicians are so good to make this performance a delight with a glass of wine and watching Warrior's Basketball team playing. Thank you Woongsan and the musician to give me this exceptional pleasure. A blessing to have you all come together to make this such a beautiful piece of enjoyment and delight!
What a pleasure to enjoy this again. I'm jumping like a fish. I can hear this again and again... always so beautiful in rhythm, tempo and joyful spirit. A thing of beauty is a joy forever!
Beautiful version of this classic song that greatly impressed the world many years ago by Louis Armstrong. Woongsan you are special just like Louis Armstrong was. I'm energized and feel the joy of being and living thanks to your great interpretation.
It's too hot even in San Francisco... on Friday, June 18, 2021... and it's a wonderful treat listening to this piece of excellence by Woongsan again with the same focus as the first time years ago... Thank you this beauty!
Soundwise this rendition is not bad. But is it justifiable to interpret this sad song in this rather cheerful way? I wonder what the musicians are making of the lyrics.
